Opened in 1976, the park welcomes visitors from April to December each year. It's divided into 5 lands - Scandinavia, Africa, Europe, the Orient, and Americana, and has dozens of thrill rides, rollercoasters, and attractions, including Planet Snoopy, which is aimed at younger children. If you're arriving by Amtrak, it's an 11-mile trip north to the park, while Kansas City International Airport is 22 miles northwest. Downtown Kansas City is an easy city to explore on foot.
