Pepsi Center Introduction

Providing clear views of the Rocky Mountains from its top-floor, contemporary glass structure, the Pepsi Center is a state-of-the-art, multipurpose venue. It's home to the National Hockey League's Colorado Avalanche, National Basketball League's Denver Nuggets, and National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth. The calendar is also filled with a wide range of concerts and family-friendly events, for which it seats up to 20,000 people. It’s also ideally situated just two blocks from the 16th Street Mall, a pedestrian-friendly promenade packed with restaurants, bars, and shops.

Hotels near Pepsi Center

Downtown Denver has a wide selection of hotels all within walking distance of the Pepsi Center. The majority are simple yet stylish chain properties with amenities such as pools, restaurants, and free breakfast. Nearby five-star properties within a 15-minute walk of the venue have luxurious spas and chic bars. It’s busiest (and most expensive) from June through August. It’s chilly during winter, so crowds are sparser and prices drop dramatically. Spring and fall are the best times of the year to visit, for both the weather and the hotel rates.

How to get to Pepsi Center

Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) serves the Pepsi Center. You'll find a bus stop at the corner of 9th Street and Auraria Parkway outside the venue. It’s also easily accessible via train, with the C, E, and W lines running to Union Station throughout the week. But you might note that the station gets especially crowded on game days. Otherwise, visitors can take advantage of the free MallRide shuttle available at the 16th Street Mall, which stops at Union Station.
