"We hasd a lot of fun at The Swope, reading books in the library, playing chess in the parlor and eating breakfast in the dining room. The staff was very accommodating and the room was very nice. It's right downtown in Gettysburg, so we left the car in the lot and walked around. A fellow guest recommended taking a ghost tour and that turned out to be a lot of fun, but maybe a touch creepy too, we did a 9:00 PM tour. Dinner at the Dobbin house was super special as well, like a walk back in...

"We were amazed at the quality of this motel. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The bathtub/shower was relatively new there were four good pillows on the very comfortable king sized bed. Considering the cost of the room, we were very impressed!"
