From Convenience to Elegance - Where to Stay During your Anaheim Vacation

Hotel search

Most of Anaheim’s hotel scene is within a 1-mile radius of Disneyland® Resort and the adjacent Anaheim Convention Center. Venture outside the city, and you'll find even more hotels to choose from, mostly located near Orange County’s other hubs for business and pleasure. You can get to Anaheim from a few of these areas via the Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle.

Disneyland - Anaheim

The immediate neighborhood surrounding Disneyland® Resort and the neighboring Anaheim Convention Center is saturated with hotels. Most places are within walking distance of the resort or the convention center. If you’re tired after a long day strolling through the theme parks, the city’s resort shuttle can drop you off at or near your temporary residence. Angel Stadium and the Honda Center are about 3 miles from the area, in case you want to catch a baseball or hockey game on your trip.

Hotels range from massive high-rise resorts to quirky independent inns as old as Disneyland® Resort itself. Larger, more upscale accommodation choices typically feature restaurants and sleek lounge areas. Some spots also pour local craft beers at their bars.

Buena Park - Knott's Berry Farm

A smaller block of hotels surrounds Orange County’s other major theme park, Knott’s Berry Farm, located roughly 7 miles northwest of Disneyland® Resort. The hotels in the area will put you within walking distance of the park and its seasonal sister park, Soak City. This area is also worth considering if you plan on making a trip into Los Angeles, as you’ll be just 21 miles from downtown L.A.

The lodging options in this area are smaller and built for convenience, including several familiar budget-friendly chains. Hotels and motels offer basic perks like free internet, and some places serve a free continental breakfast.

Costa Mesa - South Coast Plaza

If you don’t want the bustle of theme parks and conventions to follow you back to your hotel, consider staying in this compact neighborhood. The Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle service extends to Costa Mesa, so you won’t have to worry about driving the 14-plus miles it takes to get to Disneyland® Resort. Plus, you’ll be within walking distance of South Coast Plaza, one of Southern California’s most legendary upscale shopping centers. Cultural attractions like the Segerstrom Center for the Arts also provide this area with a more metropolitan ambiance.

Tall, elegant hotels dominate the Costa Mesa neighborhood, which add to its sophisticated vibe. The price points tend to be higher than in Anaheim, and you’ll enjoy perks like free WiFi and fitness centers in most places. Some accommodation options also include upscale amenities like fine dining and tennis courts.
