Halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth and just 20 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Arlington is the fun center of Texas. With 2 big stadiums and a huge amusement park, Arlington is the place to go if you love sports and thrills. And there's much more to explore. Plenty of shopping and dining, along with arts and nature, makes the city a popular travel destination.

Big sports

Football and baseball are the heart of Arlington, with plenty of professional and college games, tailgating parties included. AT&T Stadium is the Dallas Cowboys’ home. The striking structure has a retractable roof and an impressive 2,100-inch, high-definition video screen hanging over the field. Tours of the facility are an interesting option if you're a Cowboys or stadium enthusiast. The Texas Rangers play at Global Life Park. The retro-style baseball stadium sits on a hill, surrounded by ponds and trees. It's decorated with reliefs of longhorn cattle, oil wells, and other Texana, and includes the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame.

The high speeds and big drops are a treat for big-thrill lovers. There are family-friendly and children's rides and shows for those in search of less extreme experiences. Just across the street, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is the perfect place to enjoy the summer.
