Traditional Pubs, Live Music, and Beach Bars - Nightlife, and Entertainment in St Ives

Find a place to stay

St Ives might be small, but it’s buzzing with evening entertainment all year round. Fishermen and miners have been frequenting local pubs for centuries, and the town’s live music scene has taken off over recent years. Old traditional pubs sit alongside modern stylish bars on the harborfront, and beach bars provide respite from bustling streets, as well as magnificent all-weather sea views.

Traditional Pubs

Some pubs in St Ives date back to the 1300s and the town’s rich maritime and mining history has kept those establishments busy over recent centuries. Low beamed ceilings and slate floors create a snug environment, and there’s a wide selection of local ales, beers, and ciders to sample. It’s in these old-fashioned pubs that you’re likely to meet a true Cornish local who can tell colorful stories about the town.

Late bars and DJs

Despite being a popular spot for hen and stag dos, nightlife in St Ives is relatively low-key. Over recent years, stylish bars have replaced nightclubs, and you’re more likely to find people partying to DJs’ beats in late bars on the harborfront. Dress code is smart-casual in most bars, and many open until 1am or 2am at weekends.

Hub St Ives
