At high tide in the waters of Doctors Gully, hundreds of fish visit for hand-fed free meals. You'll meet a host of species, from batfish to barramundi and milkfish to mullet.

Animal parks in Darwin

 

The country around Darwin offers an array of opportunities for you and the kids to experience the area's natural diversity. You can hike through wetlands and woodlands, take a croc cruise at Crocodylus Park, or make new feathered friends at Territory Wildlife Park's walk-through aviary.

Territory Wildlife Park

 

A 45 minute-drive from downtown Darwin, the park is divided into wetlands, woodlands, and monsoon vine forest habitats. The latter includes a trail through one of the southern hemisphere's largest walk-through aviaries.
