Live music in Byron Bay

 

Byron Bay is a breeding ground for some of Australia’s best musical talent, and is a regular stopover for touring bands. It’s also the scene of some the country’s best music festivals. Woody’s Surf Shack

 

Woody’s is inspired by the longboard surfers who first colonized Byron Bay in the 1960s, and has live bands and DJs, a dedicated dancefloor, and a relaxed outdoor patio.

If you’re in the mood for a more tranquil evening, how about a movie? Byron Bay is a film buff’s town, and hosts the annual Byron Bay International Film Festival, one of Australia’s most important cinema events. "The Echo" and "The News" will tell you what’s showing.
