THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE HOTEL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. CONSIDERING I WAS NOT PURCHASING A HOME FOR PERMANENT LIVING I WAS VERY SATISFIED. I GO ON MANY TRIPS TO HARTFORD I WILL BE STAYING THERE AGAIN. THE COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST WAS A WELCOME SURPRISE.”
Great Hotel for price, the kids really enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The staff was very friendly. We stayed during the blizzard, the manger seemed to be there for at least 3 days stright and didnt skip a beat, still freindly and plesant as the day we checked in.”
Good points: Excellent friendly staff, cannot be closest to highway, large room, good breakfast. Bad points: No elevator, Room cards doesn't work for long and must be recharged, pool not in function. Nevertheless, I would recommend and return there without a doubt.”
Very clean, free Wi-fi, albeit somewhat run down hotel. Chairs were stained along with the couch. The moulding in the bathroom was very cracked and falling apart. New kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, plenty of closet space, two 32 in flat screen TVs. The desk, upon calling said the unit was stocked with pots and pans, there was one small saucepan and one big saucepan, no frying pan, we had to go buy a frying pan and medium saucepan to be able to cook. Also, had to buy coffee filters and provide own coffee. It was convienent to where we were going, so overall it was OK, very clean rugs, no smell of cleaners masking anything.”
The hotel was very nice and clean. Nice, open lobby. We had some issues with our fridge and tv, but they fixed them immediately. I would definitely stay there again. Negatives: the parking garage was very far from the main elevator, so it made carrying bags up to your room difficult, neighborhood area outside of the hotel perimeters not great.”
We were very pleased with the location...close to highway. We were just passing through on our way to New York City. It was easy to find and the staff were great. Amazing Italian restaurant within walking distance of hotel. Would definately stay there again.”
This was hands down the cleanest hotel room that I have stayed. The facilities were also clean and the staff was very accommodating. Although the location doesn't offer a view, it is centrally located near I84 and 691, making it easy for travel. Highly recommended by me.”
The owners are amazing people that made us feel home. The room was really nice,the bed very comfortable, the breakfast both mornings was awesome with homemade muffins, cheese and egg casserole and pancakes with maple syrup from their tree... another guest made cheesecake and it was deliciousssss!! Definetely stay there!!”
Hotel was conveniently located right off of I-95. The room itself was quit e clean and well maintained. The hotel though is kind of old and doesn't look as nice. Overall I would say you'll get your money's worth by staying here.”
This Howard Johnsons is very surprising. The outside could use a little "beautification", (colorful flowers and such), but the inside was very clean and comfortable. We had two queen size beds and a two tables to use. This hotel also has an indoor pool. The one main item for myself and family would be better quality towels and washcloths. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mystic---that would be the place to stay. .”
This hotel is located about a mile from Mystic Seaport. The hotel staff is helpful and polite. The bathroom is ultra clean - very important in the grand scheme of things. The decorating could use a bit of an update, but that's a minor issue. The solicitousness of the morning breakfast hostess was especially endearing. It's a service-minded staff in a friendly community.”
The hotel was very nice. I had stayed there last year right after they had renovated it and enjoyed my stay that i decided to stay there again. It is located directly across from the aquarium and the Mystic village which is great when you have 2 kids. The rooms were very clean and well kept and the pool was very family friendly. My kids loved it and they felt very comfortable there. Also the restaurants were very kid friendly also and had no problem with having the kids there at all. I would definitely go back again.”
