This hotel was outstanding. After traveling most of the day we decided to eat in the hotel. I have eaten in hotles across the USA and I must say that the food there was like eating in a resturant. The staff was friendly and mixed right in with the geusts. I would give this hotel a 5 star rating.”
This was a very nice hotel, the rooms were very spacious and clean, the water was hotter than what I have at home, the breakfast was alright, and the service was nice. We booked for 3 nights but had to leave after he first night. I called hotels.com at 3:30 pm to cancel and they called the hotel to make sure it was okay and hey have me a full refund for the 2 nights! I didn't expect that since I was canceling so late in the day. Very nice hotel and pet friendly apparently!”
The hotel was very nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Cookies and coffee at night and great choice with free breakfast in the morning. The only down side was the location. The area seemed a bit run down but the hotel and staff made up for it. Would recommend.”
Holiday inn seems to have a problem with hotels.com at check in. At both morgantown wv and hillsville va locations they also charged me again for the room. I spoke to the desk clerk the next morning at both locations and they admitted the evening clerk at both locations screwed up by charging me. They both said it happens with their system frequently. Both refunded but took 3-6 days at each location. Very inconvient. Probably won't book with them through your service again.”
Front desk staff was awesome. Pool and hot tub were good. Clean room. Lots of fast food restaurants beside hotel. Breakfast was hot and decent (and included!). Free wifi and free parking! Stayed 2 separate nights on the way to and from Florida. Would definitely stay again. Just beware if you put the address in your GPS to use Hunter's Way with an apostrophe. The other Hunters Way is up a hill about 15 minutes from the hotel.”
Everything was really fantastic except that the room is not conducive to exterior noises. The individual above me either weighed 500lbs and stomped around all night, or there was a rambunctious child. Either way, it was a somewhat sleepless night due to the noise above my room and the storm going on outside the room. I was allowed to check in early, which was a plus.”
I was getting eye treatments so was there 15 days Myr room was comfortabe and clean The staff very nice, especially Genna This hotel gets many construction guests so it is very difficultto keep the breakfast room floor clean but the room itself was fine. It was reasonably priced and I would stay there again”
Room was clean, hotel looks newer in general and it's literally right next to the highway. There are a lot of restaurants nearby so it made it very easy for meals. The area is decent, felt safe. We stayed here while on a trip for whitewater rafting on the New and Gauley rivers, would stay here again as it's a great value for the price.”
I enjoyed our visit. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The a/c didn't work properly in our room....but overall I was satified with everything else.”
Very happy with our stay, it was our 3rd stay at this motel. The room is large and clean, its near family and shopping. We will stay there anytime we have to make this trip. Also they have a good continintal breakfast. We went up this time for a funeral.”
This hotel is on Route 60 very close to Wal-Mart and several fast-food restaurants. It is about a 7-8 minute drive to Marshall University and the Huntington Civic Center (Big Sandy Arena). The only complaint is the quality of the television and wi-fi. The tv's are the old console televisions and there aren't very many channels. While changing channels it seemed that most were blank. There was not a channel guide in the room. The wi-fi was not reliable. It continued to ask us to log back into it.”
The rooms were pretty clean for a motel. They were a little small, and not necessarily cozy, but they surpassed my expectations, and I'd have no problems staying here again. The entrance is easy to miss, though--we turned into three different places trying to get to it!”
