LOCATION: Hotel was located just North from the main VA Beach attractions, about a 10 minutes drive from the Neptune sculpture. A grocery was across the street, which we used not stock up on beach snacks and paper plates and plastic flatware. ACCOMMODATIONS: Rooms were large, living area was cozy, sink and microwave was provided, but no dinnerware. Most of the rooms over looked the beach, and offered a balcony of sorts to sit out on and enjoy the view. NO FREE WiFi. You have to pay $10/day for WiFi. Our room had a single Kingsize bed, and a queen size sofa bed. Kingsize mattress was hard and uncomfortable, even with the addition of a paper thin mattress pad. Ice maker at the end of the hallway, worked half of the time, with a persistent water puddle located right underneath it. SERVICE: Hotel staff was always friendly and very accommodating. Dining room was nice, quite, and the food was excellent. We were able to watch a beautiful sunset one of the nights. Wait staff was a little slow, but they were consistently friendly when ever they were at the table. Prices were reasonable, at no point did I feel like I was paying too much for what I was getting. OVERALL SATISFACTION: Even with the few negative comments, we'll more than likely come back for subsequent visits. The prices were affordable, the accommodation was reasonable, the location was excellent, and the staff was incredible.”
Hotel restaurant staff was excellent. Bartenders were friendly and helpful and on top of their jobs. Music in the restaurant was good, lots of energy. I do think it should be more contained as some people really want to get sleep and I could hear in on the sixth floor. Room was okay clean. I opened balcony door immediately upon arrival and stepped on broken glass which embedded itself into my foot and took until the next day to get all of it out.”
While the Travelodge is older, the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was walking distance to the beach and several great restaurants, including the popular Plaza Azteca. Definitely worth the price.”
I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was comfortable and the reception staff very cheerful and helpful. The reviews i read before i visited were not entirely true and i regret i did not book my whole stay at Holiday Inn because of some of the comments i had read. Keep up the good work and i honestly will stay with you next time am in Arlington. cheers to all staff.”
The hotel was situated in a great location - within walking distance of the Iwoa Jima memorial and Arlington Cemetry and Rosslyn subway station, which provides easy access to the city (the hotel actually offers a free shuttle the subway station, however it take 10-15 minutes to walk). Our room was modern, large and clean and from the 10 floor had a pretty decent view of the surrounding neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again, if for nothing more than the location.”
I enjoyed 3 nights at the Marriott Key Bridge. The hotel was clean, comfortable and offered food & drink to a reasonable quality and price. Hotel was close to the Metro and a short walk away from Georgetown making it positioned perfectly for access to key Washington attractions whilst being able to enjoy the nightlife of Georgetown. I would stay there again.”
Good location. Large room with full kitchen, although needed to add eating utensils. Had broken coffee pot and clock and when advised of this, there was no immediate fix. Remained broken for the next day of my stay. Convenient to food, metro and stores. Good value for money considering neighboring ones charge 2x the fee. Does not include free breakfast or coffee, hairdryer or pool. Designed for long term stay customers.”
Bathtub water wouln't shut off water ran all night. Both ice machines were broken for atleast a week. When it rained the water came into the room. Hotel personal was great, bed and pillow were comfortable.”
Booked a room with a Kingsize bed. This was indicated on my confirmation email. The hotel had us booked for a Queensize bed. This what they received from Hotels.com/Expidia. They were able to move us to a new room the 2nd night of our stay. Unhappy with our experience booking through Hotels.com.”
Very nice 1st class condo style accomodations. We stayed in unit 16B (2bdr) with 2 adults and 2 kids ages 7 & 9. This was a very spacious 2 bedroom unit with a nice size kitchen and granite countertops. The unit was a bit far from the only outdoor pool and so we used the car while we were on the property. Be prepared for a couple of attempts to get you into a timeshare sales session. They asked us once at checkin and then intised us the day before we left with a phone call and some free stuff. As soon as we declined they didn't push it any further. Although it is a bit of a drive to get to all the local attractions this was an excellent value and would highly recommend it.”
The front desk person was awesome, I came in for one night very early and he checked us all in but told us to wait til later to go in the rooms we went to eat came back and our rooms were ready, we were poolside and had a great evening. The hotel could stand some upgrades with the (TINY) bathrooms but overall I would stay there again in a pinch....”
We were very apprehensive about being harrased in to the time share meeting after reading other reviews. There was no mention of it to us, maybe because we are Canadian eh! That being said, we were actually surprised by the size of this resort, it is a little village. We had an upstairs 1 bedroom condo with a loft that had 2 single beds (unit 60B). There were 2 bathrooms (1 with shower 1 with bath), full kitchen (absolutely no counter space though... but hey I was on vacation and not expecting to make a feast anyway!!!), we had our own washer and dryer and each unit had it's own hot water tank and independant A/C unit. The decor is slightly outdated but not a problem. Beds are pillow top and very comfy. Only suggestion I would have is for a couch in the living area instead of 3 chairs. The grounds have everything a family could need: indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, playground, mini-golf, restaurant, general store. It is a gated resort with security check at the entrance. The only neutral point is that there is no cleaning service during your stay. It's kinda like home away from home. However since there is a dishwasher, self clean up is a breeze.I would definitely go back if I was in the area.”
