Well, when we cross the Lost River Road, Woodstock NH when we came back from Ogunquit Maine, we had to find a nice hotel and a not very expensive one. So I download the application Hotels.com and start to find an hotel near Burlington... so the Quality Inn Colchester/Burlington Area was our best deal around ! Our experience there was awesome, the pool was clean and hot, our bedroom was clean, the staff was funny and the breakfast succulent with those "do it yourself" waffle ! If you're around, no choice... take that place !”
The location of this hotel is all you really need. You can park your car and not use it till you check out. The only con that i can say is It shows that it is a business oriented hotel, it is clean and nice but it is not "comfy". Besides that nothing bad to say.”
Our stay was interupted one nite by the repaving of the steet in front of the hotel. When we enquired as to the noise the next morning we were compensated with a free breakfast, which we appreciated even though the noise wasn't avoidable by the hotel. The room was great with a complimentary fridge and the breakfast at their restaurant was excellant”
The Hotel was furnished in a rural style, with lots of individual touches. The staff were welcoming and the whilst the food was a fairly limited selection and dinner available within a restricted time frame, it was very good. The location is very rural so nothing within walking distance other than beautiful countryside.”
If you want the perfect romantic getaway, the Green Mountain Inn is the place you have to choose! The staff: perfect, the room: incredibly confortable, the surrondings: a dream! You definitely have to try Frida's Taqueria. I sincerly recommend this hotel, we had an amazing time!”
A few friends and I decided to go skiing at Stowe for a few days. We were only supposed to stay for one night, and ended up going for 2. The first night, we were at a hotel down the street with a similar star rating. It was a world of a difference. This hotel was much cleaner, and better prepared to receive people who were outside all day. They had the rooms already heated and the hot tub ready to go once we got there. After a great sleep, we had our breakfast and tea and headed for the slopes.”
The Inn has all the rustic charm of an older swiss ski chalet. The hallways are dedicated to the local wood that grows in the area so you quickly are enveloped by the woodsy feel. The staff were very nice, the rooms sufficient for a quick stay or for futur ski weekend. Great value to get near mountain base.”
Wow, did Vermont suffer from Hurricane Irene! This hotel had only recently reopened when we arrived after being cut off (Route 4, the main road into Killington, had in places been washed away). This is often the hotel we choose when in the area and do recommend it. Just wish the swimming pool (indoor) was bigger.”
We only stayed one night, but would love to go back. The room was very clean and just what we needed. The Belgian waffles were outstanding and the B and B is in a great location. Thanks! - glenn & fran”
We hardly stayed but overall a good experience. Location is perfect especially during the Fall as you can go to Lake George/Placid/ Champlain, NH or Vermonth within 3 hrs for foliage viewing based on the current conditions.”
The property was very impressive, with separate buildings just like a time-share in nice surroundings. Parking was convenient. Breakfast was good. But after a long days drive I like to park my car and walk to a nearby restaurant.”
We had a great stay. We needed a room change to non-smoking, taken care of immedately. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Met some lovely guests while we enjoyed our breakfast. Location was good for going on sidetrips to neighbouring towns. Everything was to our liking.”
