The Sandcastle was situated in a great location for walking on the beach, not far from the boardwalk and taking in the restaurants and shops on Ocean Blvd. We were in a great location for a lot of tourist attractions within driving distance. The hotel is undergoing renovations and the inside pool and hot tub area was not great but usable. Room was comfortable but lacked good lighting and no clock. Overall a good experience.”
Our room looked as if it was just remodeled and had a great view of the ocean. It was also located right off the elevator. Very clean and we had no problem with the room keys working. That's a plus! We also had the breakfast buffet and found it well priced and good food. Ocean Annie's with the band was also a plus and we loved the pool and the lazy river! Good pick!”
The Anderson Ocean Club is a wonderful hotel right on Myrtle Beach. It's about a couple of miles from the famous Boardwalk & located near shops & restaurants. Kings Hwy is just one block up where there are lots of restaurants & stores. Really enjoyed our stay at the Anderson Ocean Club, but it was off-season. No crowds!”
This place is just average and is only worth half of what they ask. The location is the only reason to stay here. Even though I saw other places that were cheaper and looked nicer when I walked by and still in good locations.”
We would give this motel a perfect score. The room was clean, all of the appliances were in good working order, and the staff were friendly and knew a lot about the history of the area and all of the near by activities, attractions. The location is perfect for anyone going to Patriot's Point, downtown Charleston, Magnolia Plantation and Charleston's beautiful harbor.”
During our stay, the hotel was undergoing it's annual maintenance, so part of the parking lot was closed and the sauna was out of order. Beyond that the room was a great size (2 double beds for a family of 4) with both a microwave & small fridge. We used the hotel as a staging area for a trip into Charleston. Downtown Charleston was only 15 minutes away and by staying here we easily saved 50% off the cost of staying downtown. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful providing lots of great tips on what to do downtown and even where to park. I'd have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.”
We called the hotel and let them know we would be a late arrival, they held our room for us no problem. The staff was curtious and room clean. They had a hot breakfast that was very good. The room was quiet, very little noise from other rooms or outside. The beds were comfortable. The only complaint which certainly isn't much of one, would be that the hotel is older and furnishings out dated. The location is very convenient to Ft. Jackson where we attended our daughter's graduation.”
I enjoyed my stay. I felt safe & all of my linens were cleaned regularly. The best part of the service was when I made a fresh waffle for breakfast. So, there was a little more offered than just a continental breakfast. The location is a little nook close to a medium-sized shopping center, which includes a super-Walmart. Drinks, like coffee, tea, etc, are only served during breakfast. However, for those who drink coffee, there is a mini-coffee maker in the room with a complimentary packet of coffee. Vending machines are available.”
the customer service was great, rhonda checked me in and was very helpful throughout my stay. around the hotel there are a lot of different food options, both chain (i.e. mcdonalds, chikfila, texas roadhouse) and local spots that serve different types of food.”
My husband and I both loved our stay at this resort! The only confusing thing is that it's a rental unit, which means you have to deal with the rental company which is not on site. It was a bit confusing to figure out where we were supposed to check in but the people at the resort were very helpful. The villa was amazing, more then enough room for 4 adults to be comfortable. The pool was a 10 second walk from our front door and was great, It was heated and monitored but a security guard at all times. We were about a 10 minute drive from the beach and a 5 min drive from the North Myrtle Beach main drag. Lots of resturants, stores, mini golf courses and The House of Blues. We definitely plan to stay here again.”
I loved the view from the balcony. Especially because it happened to snow during our stay. Convenience of the hotel was great for our needs. We were disappointed with the size of the bathroom. You have to squeeze back to the tub in order to shut the door. Its very small!! Beds were hard but other than that we loved it.”
This was a good pick for our family of five (3 kids age 6,4, and 8 months). It provided plenty of space, a great kitchen and an awesome view. We were steps from the beach, and our kids built sand castles and searched for shark teeth even though it was pretty cold! Cleaning staff were very friendly and did a good job each day. Our complaints were that the unit had been quite recently painted and so still had some fumes during our stay. Also the indoor swimming pool was not usable for several days of our stay, and it was too cold to use the outdoor pools. Otherwise a great hotel and we would come back!”
