the hotel was really nice and located in a great place. the only problem was in the room next to us someone had a dog locked in the bathroom and the dog was barking from 7.20am for about an hour when the people staying in this room had went out and left it there. couldnt sleep so had to get up advised cleaning staff outside our room and they also heard the dog barking advised would tell manager as far as we are aware nothing was done and we believe no pets are allowed in the hotel”
Cannot complain about anything really. The hotel seemed very busy during our four day stay, massive amount of young people on school trips. We only ever saw them though when using the wifi in the lobby - this is one thing Hilton could improve I.e. make Internet less expensive in the rooms or FREE. We also had use of the executive lounge area which was very good and convenient for us. The room was comfortable but did look a little 'tired' in the bathroom especially. Spent a lot of time sightseeing and found that the hotel was always easy to get back to. Would definitely use it again when we return to NYC.”
Three of us stayed in a two double bed room which was very large and we had lots of space. I found the room too warm at night with no way to change the temperature. The location is great. I left some things behind in the room, my fault I know, however the cleaners never found them either even thoguh i'm sure I left them there.. strange”

The timing of my visit was poor.. After all you train for a marathon and then discover it is called off at the last minute. Chose hotel as it was close to Staten Island... Staff were wonderful and Hotel met its needs... Surroundings are a contrast. One of the world's great institutions - JPMorgan on your door together with a less than desirable retailing area... All very close to each other. Premium prices paid due to storm creating high demand on accommodation everywhere round New York.”
the hotel is right next to a subway that takes you down town Manhatan it's clean and it's the cheepest one we found but the quality of the room rocked!!!! we ever had the incuded breakfest!!! the best place you can find in NY nowadays.”
We recently stayed at the NU hotel Brooklyn for 8 nights. It is a fantastic modern hotel which is really well run and the service is therefore excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to discover on arrival that there is a complimentary self-service continental style breakfast for all guests even though we weren;t expecting this. It is about 2 blocks from at least 2 subway stations and others are close by also. Bergen st. is the most convenient station and also Hoyt-Schimmerhorn (spelling probably incorrect!) but vigilance needed in and around this station especially if travelling alone or after 9PM. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend to specify that your room doesnt overlook Atlantic ave as this is a busy traffic throughfare. We were given a hotel room overlooking Atlantic ave.on the first night and found it quite noisty until c. 2AM but, the next morning, we were given a room facing the really quiet rear of the hotel on requesting this. Overall, a great hotel for a city break.”
The hotel is gorgeous both inside and out. The room was clean as well as the entire hotel. There is complimentary iced tea, coffee and cappuccino on every floor. You also get a free breakfast in the morning that had eggs, sausage, oj, coffee, etc , etc. It was loaded with goodies. The staff was very nice.We got a jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi was very nice with mirrors around it so it made for a very romantic evening. The room had a small beer, liquor, wine vending machine. we stayed for 2nights, we would stay again and woul recomend 2 others ;)))”
We arrived at 1pm and were delighted that we were able to check in right away. My wife and I were attending a show at First Niagara Centre and show time was 7:30. We asked the host at the restaurant in the hotel lobby what time we woul need to arrive in order to eat before the show. He replied 5:45-6:00 pm. I also asked if it would helpful to have a reservation and he said no. You can probably guess what happened next. We arrived at 5:50 pm and were told that there was no way they could serve us a meal in time for us to get to the show on time. There is nothing to eat at the First Niagara, unless of course, you are a millionaire. When we tried to order take out after the show, the restaurants we called were too busy to accomodate.”
Our stay at the Hotel was great! ......Booking through "Hotels.com" was easy, the only problem was that I felt they should more openly make you aware that there is NO cancellation! and you have to pay in full up front!”
