Santa Fe is very nice and worth the cost, the only negative thing i have to say is that the directions are very poor. Our GPS did not pick up the address. The front desk also agreed that the directions given on the websites are not that clear”
Located walking distance to center of town - nice quiet location. Our unit had been redecorated and was lovely. Some other units have not been redone and could definitely do with a facelift. Landscaping could be improved at some locations but drought had some effect. Would recommend this hotel.”
Overall, very impressed with this hotel, located close to the Central Plaza and within easy walking distance of all Central Sante Fe attractions. Very comfortable rooms in period decor, slightly tired perhaps, but functional. Excellent complimentary breakfast with hot food options, lively bar and outside patio area with compact heated outdoor swimming pool. Secure, free car park a valuable bonus. Staff somewhat surly on occassions, but helpful and friendly on others, in equal measure. No hesitation in recommending.”
After a little glitch in making a reservation ( the 877 number did not work) Jenny acknowledged our reservation and arranged for a higher floor and coffee maker, as requested. ( They should include this and the mini bar in the list of amenities, so that you know that these are available). The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. It is a historical hotel with great charm and romance - the standard room was small but extremely well appointed. Great value and a short drive to the historical area, but in a better general location with access to other restaurants, etc.”
I have heard miscellaneous complaints about this establishment. I had a pleasant time. their business center comes in handy for printing, surfing etc.. however, you need to bring your own printer paper. I guess the only con was the absence of breakfast in the morning. The location is right off of I40 but far enough away to not be noisy. it is in a somewhat of a culdesac of hotels with very little traffic. and within an extremely close walking distance is a BBQ joint that was a little pricey but well worth it. the linens were clean and without any noticeable burns or stains. The heater was toasty at night and the Televisions have RCA jacks in which to plug in your miscellaneous video equipment (XBOX, DVD player, Roku). Walmart is about a mile away or Kmart or Whole Foods Supermarket is about the same distance in the opposite direction. It is close to UNM or CNM (about 5-10 min). overall i would rate this experience as excellent and i will be rebooking in the future for my family and friends.”
Our room was missing a shower head and since no replacement could be found they moved us to an upgraded room at no extra charge. Free breakfast was excellent - good variety and even someone to make omelets on request.. We were only there one night but overall a good experience.”
The staff was warm and inviting. The hotel was right off the freeway and very, very clean. Coffee and breakfast in the morning with another smiling face behind the desk. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. Thank you!”
The hotel was recomanded to me by a friend, it was all she told me about and more the situation of the hotel is on top of a hill so the horizon is endless, my room was facing the Organ mountains so it was a pleasure to live the curtains open. The hotel is at walking distance to dining, shopping, theaters very convenient. This is the hotel to stay if you like pampering!”
We stayed here on our way from northern Cali to San Antonio tx. It was beyond perfect. Super friendly staff, comfy beds, clean rooms, great decor. The continental breakfast in the morning was superb. I've never seen so many choices. I will definitely stay here again!!!!”
This is a two star hotel so you shouldn't expect great things, but it is a very good value taking into consideration the excellent location, very close to the Taos Plaza. The room was also very clean and made up every day. The decor is also a great throwback to decades past”
Staff was great. Place needs updating. Bed comfortable and clean. No clock or coffee pot in room. Shower great. Long distance from our room to the spa, and had to walk outside. Overall I would stay there again, price was good.”
This was our first time in Taos and we were there to ski. Although the location is not ideal for hitting the slopes it is one of if not the best option in the area. The hotel is very nice and rooms are clean and as pictured, The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rate is not on the cheapest but we believed it was within reason for the quality. We highly recommend this hotel if visiting Taos.”
