Hotel was a bit run-down, but so is the city of Omaha (I hate to say, as much fun as it is). However (and just like the city), not enough to make it scary. It seems to be a family operation -- some really, truly nice people in all actuality. They let us stay a little longer so the kids could swim ... which is quite a feat to do in this city in the month of November.”
I was very satisfied with my stay. I came in late at night and the clerk helped me get all checked in. I was expecting only a semi-comfortable bed but it was probably one of the better beds at a hotel I've had. It was a bed that you could tell felt like you were sleeping either at home or someone elses home. I was most happy to have a refrigerator and microwave in my room because it helped me save money on food. I ordered pizza and could reheat it the next day and keep the drinks I brought with me cold. It was only an 8 minute drive from my intended destination and there were plenty of restaurants and shopping near the hotel. I definitely plan to use it again next time I go to Omaha.”
With all of the winding roads around the Westroads Mall, it was a little difficult to get to the hotel, but once we arrived, we found the place clean, staff was very curteous and helpful, and the price was reasonable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.”
BEST PLACE throughout my entire trip! The location was convenient, awesome room that was clean, comfortable and what I needed for the other locations used and sadly didn't have. The Hot Tub and pool were amazing. Thank you so much for helping this trip finish with a much more satisfied experience.”
The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in until we checked out. I was in the need of more shampoo and conditioner so I stepped out of my room to ask the cleaning staff (which were down the hall) if I could get some more. The maintence guy stopped what he was doing, asked if he could help/get something for me and he went and got the items I was asking for. I thought that was cool that he took the time when he could have put his blinders on and let me walk to the down to the housekeeping staff. We will stay here again.”
This was one of the friendliest hotels I've encountered in some time. While close to the Mall, local 24/7 grocers, and on a heavily travelled road, the rooms were quiet from outside noises. Rooms are large enough for wheel chair access. While listed online as accessible, there are no grab-bars in the tub/shower, or toilet area.”
Very nice room, spacious, well appointed with newer furnishings and very clean. We enjoyed our stay, and the conference rooms were quite nice with good service and amenities. I would recommend this for business travelers, vacationers or for folks looking to hold a meeting or conference in a central location. PS. They have REALLY good coffee!”
Overall good stay. Pool and hot tub were painted so we couldn't use them but that would be our fault for not checking before reserving. Was very pleased the receive a call about an item left behind so we could go back and get it. Most hotels would have kept or threw any so they wouldn't have the hassle.”
We stayed in Kearney because our family is in the process of downsizing our mother into asst. living, so we worked hard all day and stayed the nite then went back to work packing and sorting again the next day. The hotel was very comfortable and very clean! we were very pleased with our stay.”
Great stay - easy quick access to downtown Omaha without being in the noise and traffic of the city . Only gave a 4 for service based on the continental breakfast - so so at best - but the staff itself deserved a 5.”
From the start, it was just perfect. From the moment we walked in till the minute we left. Great staff! Very clean! etc... It was just perfect for the weary travler or just an meeting place for a advent. Keep it up Hilton express and thank you.”
Hampton Inns are pretty standard across the US, especially the newer built ones, and are among my first choices when I shop for Hotels. This particular location really goes the extra mile. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They even make take away breakfast / lunch bags in case you don't have time or you miss the breakfast window. As I was checking in, I overheard the desk clerk telling a newly arrived guest that his family who had dropped him off could join him for breakfast in the morning if they wished. I've never heard of that before. The hotel is immaculate and quiet. Highly recommended if you're in the Omaha area.”
