I was satisfied overall with the stay. Hotel is very nicely decorated and conveniently located right off the highway. The only downsides I would say is that the WIFI is very spotty and we couldn't really get cold water in the room (our dog was travelling with us and we needed to fill his water dish). Minor inconveniences though, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.”
Convenient and easy for a largish group from out of town. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful with checking us in a little early to drop off gear and to get us as close together as possible. Will definitely stay again.”
My family and I stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Zoo, and was the most inexpensive that had 2 queen beds and an indoor pool (things you look for when traveling with kids, lol). Although the pool was Not available the day we checked in, it was a day and a half later when we would actually be available to enjoy it. The pool was very nice, quiet. We had it all to ourselves. And the breakfast was very nice and included make yourself waffles-a hit with the kids. I really liked the homey feeling with the cookies @ the front desk and the little library next to the fireplace. I will stay at Country Inn & Suites from now on. Both front desk staff members we dealt with with very friendly and knowledgeable.”
The hotel itself is very well kept and very clean. We enjoyed the pool quite a bit too. The room was great. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean. We were very pleased with everything except the breakfast. It was a bit "cheap". Meaning there was only one flavor of bagel, only one flavor of mini muffin, and one kind of coffee. So we went next door to the Cracker Barrel for a couple of our breakfasts. But that did not affect our overall stay - it was great and if we are back in Lexington we will stay there again.”
I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel staff was great. We had an absolutely fantastic breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a tight budget and still expects cleanliness and hospitality.”
I absolutely loved the lady at the front desk. She was down to earth, delightful and more than helpful after an error on Hotels.com's part. There was no issue with having my dog there. I asked for a non-smoking room though and the room I stayed in wreaked of smoke. I'm not allergic, so it wasn't a big deal but I imagine someone with an allergy may need to check their room first. The AC worked well. It's RIGHT off of the interstate and there are plenty of little stores around for various needs. The price was fair for what you get...including breakfast. The bed was...OK... GREAT STAY FOR THE PRICE excluding the smokey smell.”
Liked that this was a pet friendly property the the pet fee was the highest fee I have ever had to pay. Had some problems getting the keys to work correctly but the office took care of the problem quite quickly. The unit was comfortable but the cooking area was in need of a refresh. Room was quiet and comfortable.”
No issues except in room refrigerator was VERY loud. room was VERY clean.”
This was a great stop off for me to get a nice bed, a good meal, and the services and facility were very well run. Friendly people. Only problem was the sound of some kind of electric motor that I could hear throughout the night kicking on intermittently. I was close to the elevator so I assume that it had something to do with a hydraulic pump. Otherwise, staying away room 322, I will stay again for sure.”
I was able to secure this hotel for $60 a night for a one night conference with a bunch of junior high students. It was in a safe area. The rooms were big and comfortable. It had plenty of hot water. Papa John's made delivery to the hotel. And the breakfast was pretty good. The hotel was having some maintenance issues with the elevator, which wasn't a big deal. And there was some work being done as well. The only complaint was the the hall way on the 3rd floor smelled very smokey. And anytime the door to the room was opened, it would take a moment for the smell to dissipate in the room. Other than that, it was a good experience.”
Pros: Great staff, Thank you Frances!; Good speed free internet; Good location when you drive, Great pool and Jacuzzi. Cons: May be noisy because the high way, internet does not connect in the higher floors, not the cleaniest rooms.”
The room was nice but I am picky. Found cigarette burns on the blankets wasn't up to asking for another room since this was already the second time that they changed my room. Smelled clean. Looked clean. No shampoo. No conditioner. No soap in the bathroom. Was there for only one night. Service was friendly. Breakfast was ok. But waffle house right next door. Overall. The room was good for a passing through.”
