We stay in the hotel before and after a cruise vacation. The location is excellent. Some rooms have kitchen and washer & dryer which is a convenience. Continental breakfast and internet included in the cost. The cost was fair considering the cost of surrounding hotels. Parking has a $20 surcharge.”
This hotel has it all. Great food, great bar, fantastic room and the very very comfortable bed. The beach is at your door. one small down side is it is super busy 24/7. But the staff are great! Cannot wait to come back.”
This hotel is in a great location close to the Waikiki action but not right in it. Our ocean view was terrific and the actual room was ok; kitchen was modern, bathroom was fine but furniture and bedding was dated - the halls even more so. They now also charge an amenity fee for the safe and wi-fi but the safe numbers always jammed and we couldn't access the wi-fi (nor could the gentlemen in the lobby in front of me at check-in). If you are going to charge mandatory fees, then the services should be actually provided.”
Reasonable value for the money on the Hawaiian scale. Wear, tear and fatigue is in plain sight, but the room was clean and the service very friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location, 10 minutes easy walk from the hustle and bustle of town, but the shoreline is not very appealing. Not bad for a night or two, but not the type of place I would reccomend for a honeymoon.”
The Farimont Kea Lani was a great hotel! They offered us fantastic service, helping us with everything we needed. This was our first time to Maui, so they made our visit very memorable. If you're looking to be pampered, with extremely friendly and courteous staff, I highly recommend this hotel!”
You'll read that the rooms are small, and this is true but they are also very comfortable and clean. Some updates would be nice, but overall a great place to stay at a good price. If you are looking to spend all your time in your hotel room, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to keep your things and have a great night's sleep after going on excursions all day this is the place. The beach that fronts the resort is excellent, great for swimming or as a launch for water sports. Overall, very nice.”

First time stay at this hotel! Great experience!! It was Lovely!! Rooms were nice, resort was nice, food was good and staff were all GREAT!! Food and beer were pricey but expected when you are at a resort like that. Overall GREAT experience and will be back!!”
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Wailea from March 26-28. We had done some research before booking and were happy that we did. This hotel isn't a convenient hotel where you can walk to the beach. You will need to either take a complementary shuttle from the hotel or drive yourself. That would be my only con. However, the value you get (especially if you get a decent sale on your room like we did) is great! We liked how the hotel runs different daily themed perks. Free Mai Tai hour by the pool was pretty sweet. The breakfast included was decent as well. Especially that yummy Island juice they serve. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind spending a few more $$ to get a much better value than every other hotel that jacks up the price just to stay along the beach.”
