The staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. We rented 2 one bedroom city view suites and were very pleased with what both had to offer. Only issues were the pull out sofabeds were uncomfortable for anyone of adult weight. The beds were extremely comfortable. The full kitchen was equipped to handle whatever meals we wanted to cook. The location was great few blocks from the food pantry, block and half from the beach. access to bus service outside the hotel, across the street from a surf board rental, and ten minute walk to the zoo. The roof top pool was a great feature as well as the top floor hospitally room especially if your flight was later than the check out time of noon.”
We stay in the hotel before and after a cruise vacation. The location is excellent. Some rooms have kitchen and washer & dryer which is a convenience. Continental breakfast and internet included in the cost. The cost was fair considering the cost of surrounding hotels. Parking has a $20 surcharge.”
This is a resort with lots of family oriented activities, turtles, dolphins, pool, beach, golf, etc. Not really near anything so will need to cab or drive to other shops/restaurants, etc. The facility has been here a while and it is well kept but not ultramodern. Staff are very friendly and helpful.”
Reasonable value for the money on the Hawaiian scale. Wear, tear and fatigue is in plain sight, but the room was clean and the service very friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location, 10 minutes easy walk from the hustle and bustle of town, but the shoreline is not very appealing. Not bad for a night or two, but not the type of place I would reccomend for a honeymoon.”
The Farimont Kea Lani was a great hotel! They offered us fantastic service, helping us with everything we needed. This was our first time to Maui, so they made our visit very memorable. If you're looking to be pampered, with extremely friendly and courteous staff, I highly recommend this hotel!”
You'll read that the rooms are small, and this is true but they are also very comfortable and clean. Some updates would be nice, but overall a great place to stay at a good price. If you are looking to spend all your time in your hotel room, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to keep your things and have a great night's sleep after going on excursions all day this is the place. The beach that fronts the resort is excellent, great for swimming or as a launch for water sports. Overall, very nice.”

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Wailea from March 26-28. We had done some research before booking and were happy that we did. This hotel isn't a convenient hotel where you can walk to the beach. You will need to either take a complementary shuttle from the hotel or drive yourself. That would be my only con. However, the value you get (especially if you get a decent sale on your room like we did) is great! We liked how the hotel runs different daily themed perks. Free Mai Tai hour by the pool was pretty sweet. The breakfast included was decent as well. Especially that yummy Island juice they serve. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind spending a few more $$ to get a much better value than every other hotel that jacks up the price just to stay along the beach.”
Awesome property in a very secluded part of Maui. If you looking for peace and quiet and are ok with a bit of a drive to get anywhere in Maui, then this is the place for you. It's a beautiful (almost) 5 star resort with fabulous and friendly staff, beautiful beach and very comfortable and spacious rooms. Not too many negatives with this resort but if there was anything to complain about it would be the construction going on adjacent to the north facing part of the hotel. Crews began at 8am sharp and went till mid afternoon. Not that we spent a lot of time in the room anyway, but if you like to sleep in a bit and have the lanai doors open at night, this could cause a bit of a problem. Water pressure in the shower is lacking just a bit but isn't too bad. A lounge chair for the lanai would have been nice as well. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and were made more than welcome by all staff. The price per night may be a bit on the high side, but after all, it's Hawaii in February. For the most part, there is value for your buck. We will definitely look at coming back again.”
