I booked a studio for the weekend because the hotel offers jetted spa tubs. The initial room was ok but located next to a large suite with kids and a huge family that was in and out constantly. Very noisy! The front desk relocated us to the lake side studio and the room was much nicer. The tub was nicer and not in the bathroom, which i liked. I could watch tv while I relaxed. There was a huge screened patio over lookin the lake. Will definately stay again.”
The hotel is at a great location and clean with helpful staff. But when it comes to find an ac outlet for your laptop or want to charge your equipment, you have to dive behind the tv stand to plug in. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay with beautiful resort-like pool area.”
Stayed for 16 days in this hotel and had a great time - super price for the location, easy and convienent to get to all the local attractions. Rooms were immaculately clean, staff were very nice and checkin/checkout were quick and easy. Couple of small things though - prices in minimarket and pool bar/snack bar are very very high - a burger and fries was nearly double the price of a similar item in the Magic Kingdom and was served in plastic boxes which you had to collect yourself. At these sorts of prices I would have expected someone to come to the table, take your order and deliver the food back to the table for you. The Spa is also overpriced a manacure and pedicure were nearly three times of a similar treatment in a salon in the mall (as the resort fee is supposed to cover the use of the Spa I would have expected to have been getting a significant discount on the cost of treatments in the Spa). There appeared to be a lot of staff in the Spa and not many clients, I would suspect the cost was the issue. The hotel spa lost two clients due to their high prices (as both myself and another member of our party had our nails done in the salon in the mall instead). I knew about the Resort fee so there were no suprises there but I have stayed in 3 other hotels in this resort and they all include this in their room charge so that it is paid at time of booking so I don't see why this hotel doesn't do the same (even including the resort fee the price was still great for a hotel of this standard in this resort). If they are charging a resort fee for the use of the car park, pool, shuttle buses etc. they need to implement a system for checking that these are only being used by guests - saw some people parking up and using the shuttle buses to get to disney parks and then going for a swim before returning to their cars to depart the car park!! Will certainly be back and have already recommended to a number of our friends.”
I don't know why people have been reviewing this hotel poorly. For a hotel this old they are doing a great job of competing with the new super hotel market while offering a competitive price. The staff was great. The pool was fine. Loved the ocean view. Good location. If people want more, than pay more. But for a place to crash while visit Miami Beach, my cousins and I had a fantastic week. Book here without fear. I wouldn't hesitate to return.”
It was a nice hotel. We just went down for 1 Saturday and it was a nice place to crash. We looked for bed bugs and could NOT find any. Also we did see a roach outside in the hallway but nothing in our room, and we tore that thing apart looking for anything. The hotel was in a great location, just right across the street from the beach, and not much of a walk to anywhere else either. Kinda smaller then im use to but oh well. Ya i would totally stay here again though, pretty cheap and if your young like me (22) just a good place to crash.”
Not staying as a tourist but being their for doing business the hotel is fine, including the valet parking service. The only annoying thing is that the restaurant 305 seems to be e very popular hot spot also for non-hotel guests. The eving the 305 restaurant was offering all-you-can-eat lobsters for only $ 35,00 it was impossible for me (one person) to get a table. That special evening there was a association party with many (non hotel) guests going on and they were holding most of the tables. As a hotel guest I had to go out for having dinner somewhere else. Also missing is an office helpin service to make prints of your received mails and attachments, but now the doorman did it for me on his printer. But after all I had a very pleasant stay for 5 days.”

Everything about the place was great except that their were no towels in the room and the batteries in the remote died. When we went to ask the front desk they said they couldn't get the batteries because the maintenance guy had just left for the night.”
The one criticism I would have is that the complimentary breakfast can often be consumed by those using the conference facilities. This can mean that little or nothing is left by the time hotel guests come down for breakfast, and the server is more concerned with closing the breakfast room right on 10am than dealing with this issue, and the day manager is even less concerned .We were very pleased with the value for our stay”
The hotel is old but well maintained and the staff is very helpful. The boardwalk is out the back door! Bars, restaurants, shops, and 2 steps away from the beach. The pool is large and clean. I would stay here again.”
