I had a wonderful stay - the service was invariably courteous and helpful, and I like the unique design idiosyncracies and details. Perfectly located in d/t Stockholm. One problem: given how early the sun rises in summer, appropriate blackout curtains are key. I found myself awake at 3:30 several times because light was streaming around the curtains. Also, because the room was small, without A./C it got stuffy quickly so the only way to cool was to open the windows... and let in noise.”
While there are hotels in Stockholm which are probably better located, I think you'd struggle to find somewhere that offers the same price/quality/location deal overall. The location itself is far from inconvenient - can be reached from T-Central using a short T-bana ride and a conncting tram - and the surrounding part of town is pleasant with a great supermarket just round the corner. Staff are exceptionally helpful and welcoming and the breakfast buffet is superb with plenty of variety and regular top-ups. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Standard TV is a little lacking however. Restaurant and bar offer great quality and very handy if you need an evening in. Room service is available and the reception desk has everything down to toothbrushes available should you need something. Would certainly use this hotel again and seemed to offer the best overall package at a reasonable price.”
Excellent hotel with great location. Easy to walk everywhere in Stockholm City. Huge breakfast buffet included! We stayed in a cheap bulk-bed room which was great value for money, as we could still enjoy the wonderful service and all the benefits that comes with a more expensive room. Highly recommended.”
I arrived after midnight and needed to stay at the airport before going in to Stockholm - this hotel was perfect - not as pricey as the Radisoon right in ther terminal, but an easy shuttle ride away. Even after midnight, a parking lot shuttle came by and it also stopped at this hotel. Nice little swimming pool to refresh the travel-weary in the morning, and a sauna in the locker room - very nice.”
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was extremely handy as it's located in the terminal building. Very quiet, very comfortable and most of all very convenient. You can check in your luggage and go back to the hotel until you need to go through the airport security checks. The best hotel I've stayed in in a long time.”
Stayed here last week and found it to be good value for money when you compare other hotel offers on Arlanda. This is one of the better Ibis hotels for me and the staff and service is good. The evening menu looked good enough if you want to have a quick bite .The shuttle service worked very well for me.”
Stayed here for one night on the 25th February. Very convenient location close to the railway station. A lot of building work going on in the the area at the moment. Check-in was very fast. Room was perfectly adequate, nice large flat screen tv on the wall, good sized bathroom. My only gripe was with the shower in the bathroom. The pressure was so strong that the shower wouldn't stay in the wall holder and I ended up spraying they whole of the bathroom. Mess! The hotel doesn't have a separate bar but you can have a drink in the lobby area which also serves as the breakfast room! You can eat in the hotel but we chose to go to a local restaurant across the road which was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good, large choice of foods although their hot food was only warm. Perfectly satisfactory. Checkout was very fast and the stay was very pleasant. A good reasonably priced clean hotel.”
A nice modern hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Only a 10 minute walk from the bus and train station. Friendly staff. Complementary and usably fast WiFi. Good breakfast selection including bacon and eggs. Great pub style bar/ restaurant with a huge selection of beers from around the world including some excellent local brews. Very reasonably priced and good quality pub grub. A good experience all round.”
Very basic, but nice and comfy hotel. Room was quite small, but sufficient, clean and quiet. Very good value for money. Unbeatable location, just a 3min walk from central bus and railway station. Close to city centre, university and other landmarks.”
I booked this hotel because it is close to the commuter train station. You will need 10 min walk from the station to this hotel. And it is not far away from the central station of Stockholm. I have been stayed in Stockholm for nearly 4 years, this is the hotel that I feel both convenient and low on the price. Because, I booked a fast sleep room, so on the day, I do not need to stay in hotel. but it is fairly all right to sleep in the room. Note: there is no window in the fast sleeping room, but ventilation is perfectly okay. You need to share the bath room, and it is also clean, I think. Good for the ones like me, want to have both convenience and low price! But if you want to have a comfortable stay in hotel, Do not choose fast sleep room, you may need a standard room in this hotel. They do have. And they provide breakfast. Not perfect, but enough to feed my stomach.”
Overall a nice hotel, ok breakfast, nice staff. Downside was the location in an area with lots of storehouses and no facilities (like shops or restaurants) which was difficult to reach on weekends, as only some of the buses were running.”
pleasant surprise for a quiet cheaper hotel breakfast was very good already knew british breakfast is not normal for the Swedish who prefer to offer healthier options. Shower gel hairdryer supplied also if you forget toothbrush paste etc recetion happy to provide free of charge. The alcohol is normally very expensive and was £5 for a beer in hotel which is toward the cheaper end for Sweden wine about the same. If you come from Skavska Airport get the flybbe bus a return about £10 to T centrum then at underground buy a ticket acess ticket if staying a few days up to a week cost about £30 at time we went feb 2012 it can be used on bus train tram and underground the whole of your stay. Get train to lijholm then get the tram 22 to Arstafalte and you see the signs for hotel a 7 min well lit walk. trams every 9 mins to and from T central. We have been to Stockholm 4 times and plan to go back to this hotel last hotel was The Sheriton. Suprised The Capitol hotel only had 3 stars.”
