Old style hotel with high ceilings and wide corridors. Lights in bathroom took about 10 seconds to come on is my only serious complaint. Easy walk into town but a tough walk back for some as all up a steep hill. Very pleasant staff. Would stay again”
we stayed in cork for a night to watch a gig in the opera house and really enjoyed our stay. It was pleasant, comfortable, discreet and professional. I would and have recommended already to friends and family etc...”
We had a really lovely stay in Hayfield. The staff could not have been incer , friendlier or more professional. The food was fab The only down side was the hotel was very busy this particular weekend. We found it hard to find a seat in bar ,lobby or any of the public rooms on Saturday night to enjoy a drink. I think the next time we visit we will do it midweek. The cost of a taxi from the Hayfield to city center varied between €7 & €10 I am looking forward to our next visit already.”
Wonderful staff, fabulously large rooms and a view that is unbelievable. I dream of staying here again and I cried when I left. I am an international flight crew member that was on Holiday and I have stayed in first class hotels for 37 years but this place not only has the view, and the staff it has a fallen castle that can be seen from every room as part of the dramatic and breathtaking landscape. A photographer's heaven. I assure you I have never cried to leave a hotel room in all the years that I have traveled. The only negative was the jet tub was not working in my room but I was so happy I did not complain.”
the hotel is surrounded by woods with forest walk.tennis court and little playground. also holidays apts available to stay in. staff all very nice. breakfast was lovely the dining room is on first floor overlooking the golf course and the lake beautiful views.lovely location from which to explore kilarney”
This hotel is nothing short if stunning I would highly te commend it. We spent one night away from our Chilean and we relished every luxurious moment. We had booked a golf side room but they gave us a lakeside which was a real treat. Service is fab. Surrounds are fab and the spa is the best I've ever visited. No need to pay for treatments. There is enough to do in the spa area. The restaurant wS the only disappointing area. I ordered steak and got what looked like teo slices of roast beef and the tables are not nicely set! All else was brill however! It's expensive but worth the treat!”
had a brilliant time, very relaxing in a lovly place. just one compliant, there was a area in the grounds which we walked through and there was unplesant things laying on the ground, not nice for fanil7s to see,”
Great hotel in a perfect location. Very clean and comfortable. There was an older crowd there during my stay, but would suit all ages. Overall very happy with my stay. The only negatives are having to leave your key with reception when leaving the hotel, and the breakfast room was a little disorganised. But the breakfast was very tasty!”
The Carlton Hotel in Tralee is a lovely hotel with very accomodating staff. There is ample parking. Rooms are spacious, scrupiously clean and very comfortable. There was no noise in the hotel either from the corridors or from other rooms. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Carlton.”
The hotel was lovely and the food was excellent. Only down fault is there was only 1 double socket in the room and one of the sockets wasnt working making charging fone and other electrical equipment a bit difficult”
I thought this was a great little hotel, I was in tralee on Business so just needed somewhere handy to sleep. the only drawbacks of this hotel were that parking was a bit of a nightmare and I had to move the car twice. However due to location perhaps this cannot be helped. Also I found my pillow a little hard and just noticed on check out that there was a pillow menu, this should be flagged to guests on arrival. Other than that and these are just small things, this is a lovely hotel with very clean rooms and bathrooms. It also offers great value for money and a lovely breakfast in the morning.”
