The staff were very good, the food in the main restaurant was excellent. The room wasn't great, the shower didn't work and one of the lights in the bathroom didn't work. But it was comfortable and very warm. The place could do with a bit of a maintenance sweep. Having said that I would recommend the hotel mainly because of the staff, food, relaxed atmosphere and location.”
From the moment we arrived at the pillo we experienced the fantastic professionalism ofthe staff, they were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The food in the bar and restaurant was second to none. Only a short stroll to city or a cheap taxi ride. Thanks ti all in this hotel for one of the best valentines break we ever had.”
Apart from a dodgy door lock which we had trouble with (got cards replaced but still gave trouble, room 417) we really enjoyed our stay, very helpful staff & my daughter loved the pool, a very good breakfast.”
My sister and I absolutely couldn't have picked a better hotel for the relaxation we needed. The food in both restaurants was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were very helpful especially when it came to helping my sister who is a diabetic. The next really good thing was the spa. We enjoyed two excellent hours with outstanding attention to detail. We hope to visit the Carlton again.”
Very comfortable room, Lovely menu with a wide choice of Breakfasts. Excellent host who spent time marketing his Westport region to us. A nice short walk to town to a wonderful restuarant Sol Rio recommended by our host. All in all a top class feel good experience of Boffin Lodge and the Westport experience..”
when we arrived we were told we wer\nt booked for 1 of the children we had i booked for 2 adult 2 children for family room your agent told me the hotel would put an extra bed into room they didnt they moved us to the woods hotel no complaints the staff at tha woods were so helpfull@ lovely”

Only stayed for one night and the room was fine,though the bathroom was a disabled facility without a bath and with a very low shower. I did not avail of any of the other facilities.Though the Breaffy House is signposted there is no mention of the Breaffy Woods Hotel on the roadside,so I drove straight past in an attempt to find the hotel.On the up side, the staff were pleasant and very helpful and the bedroom spacious with a very comfy bed.”
Stay was enjoyable = booked a twin room was given a double on check-in which was later rectified also while watching tv (ryder cup) in bar , male staff changed chanel without consulting anyone (annoying). Bedroom lacked any extras eg water tea/coffee which would have been most welcome as we had travelled 150 miles journey”
