Good location right in the centre of Sligo and got a good deal - would stay out in Strandhill though next time that am up there - renovations going on in the main reception area which looked a bit strange though!”
The hotel was generally good, lovely food from the bar menu, we thought that 12 euro for a full irish breakfast was a bit dear. The staff are lovely. The only complaint we have is that on either side of the window in our room, their was mould and it was dripping onto the window sill..”
The Hotel location was great but you must have a car, the Service was good and breakfast would set you up for the day. If I was too be picky, there was only enough shampoo for one person and not for two!, would recommend this Hotel !!”
We loved our overnight. we will certainly return. The Spa is wonderful. The food is very tasty. Service in the Wine Goose Bar was very good. The mezzanine cafe was very slow and our friends made the same complaint from a separate visit.”
Stayed here last Saturday as we were attending a party in Cavan town. Staff lovely, hotel comfortable - even had feather pillows, just need to get feather duvet and I'll be happy! Pool was lovely, and changing rooms clean. Jacuzzi had a 15min on/5 min off function which couldn't be overridden, but not the end of the world! We skipped breakfast as we'd a late night, but friends said it was lovely. We planned to get bar food when we checked out, but no food was being served, which was surprising to us. I also noticed that a previous guest had removed false nails in the bathroom and these were trapped under the plug in the sink - cleaning staff should be more vigilant.”
We stayed as a family with 2 rooms, which were both clean and quite spacious. There was a double and a single bed in each room, which was very convenient. The bathroom with shower over the bath was clean. The Wi-Fi signal did not reach our room, but was strong and readily available in the reception area (other rooms may have a signal). We ate breakfast in the restaurant, and there was plenty of food, and served with a smile. The hotel; is on the main street in Letterkenny, but there is a multi-story car park behind which had plenty of spaces when we stayed - if there for more than overnight, buy a multi-day ticket which allows multiple entry and exits. The only real problem was thatt he lift was out of order, but we were on the first floor so it wasn't such a problem.”
The staff in this hotel are very friendly with excellent customer service skills. The hotel is very well located for shopping and the town centre. It is quiet and comfortable. Would highly recommend it.”
Very decent quiet hotel (as expected in January) Rooms were comfy and the food was good. The gym facilities were excellent, even included fitness classes and the pool was good, even though very busy with locals.”
Stayed at Solis Lough Eske for just one night, but the experience was overwhelmingly positive. We took our dog, a labradoodle, with us and they were very welcoming to dogs around the demesne. Room was well appointed, cosy and great all around. The old part of the hotel, with the various rooms with lit fireplaces were fantastic for a relaxing read or chat. The food at the main restaurant was very good - just wished the service was a little better in the restaurant. Overall, a fantastic little break though.”
Stayed for quiet getaway with partner and friends. Hotel foyer was beautifully done up for Christmas. Lots of space to sit and relax with friends in foyer and bar and in other seating areas upstairs. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is only 10 minutes walk from Donegal town so very handy but also nice and quiet. Would absolutely stay again.”
