The location of the hotel was perfect. We were using it as our base to visit the chateaux in the Loire Region. Unfortunately, the first night was impossibly hot and the air-conditioning couldn't handle the heatwave that had struck the area that day. Both our rooms had the aircon set at the lowest tempreture and highest fan speed for all 3 nights. The standard room was surprisingly big, with built-in safe and TV. However, there was no refrigerator/minibar and the silicon around the bathtub was turning pink with dark patches, a sign that mould was present. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Lastly, the hotel charges a "City Tax" of €1.90/person/night, a common practise; but wasn't on the booking.”
Overall satisfied. Hotel staff were very accomodating expecially when we changed our booking from one night to four.I would say the rooms need some renovating - newcarpeting throughout and update in furniture in the rooms. Bathrooms have gone through the update.”
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However they didn't speak much English and it was best to communicate with them in French. The ensuite facilities were very compact. The shower was very clean. The toilet was very small and it was like getting into a cupboard or a built in wardrobe. Buffet Style Breakfast was well set out and again everything was very clean. Milk and dairy products were kept in a small fridge to ensure freshness. Very good for an overnight stay. Would stay there again.”
This was a stop over prior to heading further south. We had a family room which was very spacious and very clean. The staff very very helpful and friendly. The hotel overlooks the Loire river and only 10 minutes walk from the centre where there was a plentiful supply of restaurants and bars.I would highly recommend this hotel”
First impressions uninspiring - drab exterior and dated common spaces, but the rooms have been recently refurbished and are quiet, extremely well lit and spotless. Bathroom fairly small but again new and extremely clean. The staff are helpful. We were attracted to this place because of the garage but did not end up using it as there was a space on the street directly outside of the hotel. Neither did we have breakfast as there are excellent patisseries on Rue Bannier. The town centre is 5-10 mins walk away so extremely convenient. For the price no complaints whatsoever.”
Clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. What more is is needed for somebody passing through? Only downside was over-designed shower mechanism - why do designers feel the need to re-invent the wheel and purchasers to buy their nonsense? Breakfast fine if a little on the expensive side.”
We booked this hotel as a stop over on our way to Paris. The staff opened the pool for us the following morning, they were very helpful and had menus in English. Rooms were large, we had to get two rooms because we have three children, but they were adjoining. Hotel had WiFi, always a help today...”
The location of this hotel is very convenient: right in front of the railway station, with restaurants/bars close by, and the cathedral less than 10 minutes' walk away. The rooms are slightly small but clean and nice.”
Lovely hotel, spacious and bright rooms - great breakfast choice and nice pool area. Only downside : it was too hot when we were there and with the aircon the air got so dry in the room we didn't sleep very well :(”
Enjoyed ourselves. Very good food. Pool a little small for swimming and distance from the centre was a disappointment particularly as the main bridge across the river was closed for a new tram being built.”
