An absolutely outstanding hotel. Impeccable service. Just the right amount of attention: I neither felt ignored nor annoyed. The gym/pool/spa complex was excellent and there was almost nobody there. I felt like royalty. Would definitely recommend this hotel.”
It was a nice stay, however small matters could mar the overall picture such as the nervous receptionist at the check-in and the removal of one of the slippers from the room one day before our departure. In fact couldn't the reason for taking away the slipper! Other receptionists were quite friendly. We enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to the services especially the ATMs and night market.”
Loved the staff - they were extremely welcoming and friendly, which is very important to me when travelling to a foreign place... The breakfast buffet was super yummy delicious! Room was nothing fancy but very comfortable & clean. Location was pretty good - you are right on the street in the middle of the marketplace, everything we wanted to check out locally was within walking distance. So it was convenient for us, but not too noisy either.”
We loved all aspects of our time at Le Meridien. Thought an additional nice touch would have been an orchid or similar in the room. The staff in all areas were excellent and the facilities exceeded expectations.”
We had larger rooms and were upgraded to be around pool. Rooms were in great condition, spacious, with very comfortable beds and modern bathroom. The free breakfast was excellent. The pool was a little dated but we enjoyed it. Gardens were lush gave the whole resort a cool and expensive feel about it but only at a very cheap price.”
This is a nice hotel although some of the bathroom fittings were getting a little worn and it was noticable that the toilets would not flush properly. The grounds were very good, as was the breakfast. Great location near the river and friendly stff. Just for once, a Thai hotel that does not make you wait at check-out while they check if a guest is not telling the truth about the mini-bar! Overall, excellent value and a recommended hotel.”
We stayed here in June for one night before and after a trek in Umphang (4hs from Mae Sot). Rooms were clean and service was great. Laundry facilities were severely overpriced. Hotel pool looked fine - although we did not use it. Although the Hotel restaurant didn't look too appealing, there are a range of eateries within walking distance, and a great restaurant a short drive away by a lake - ask reception they have the details. The town itself is a little sleepy, but the market is a must see - Overall, good value for money and a great place to stop off to refresh before travelling either north towards Chaing Mai/Rai or South towards Umphang.”
