The hotel is nice and the staff helpful and pleasant. On the downside the restaurant was disappointing and overpriced and was the only place that we visited refusing tap water!! There are many steps and if you go out at niight on foot, returning is dangerous as these steps are unlit.....Are they trying to discourage people who want to eat elsewhere!!!”
Great hotel, picked as a last resort (as I prefer indidual quirks to a standardised room as you get in a chain) but no mistake at all. The staff, in particular the Receptionist, were great, spoke fluent English and were extremely helpful, gaining information from tourist information, providing tea trays etc! The room was clean, small but perfectly adequate, clean, comfortable, with a sea view and shutter to keep the heat out / assist the air con! The bathroom is worthy of particular note, great double shower - and is probably what made the room. The hotel is ideally situated for Porto Vechhio, a delightful Corsican town, that made us very welcome for our 7 night stay. Hotel seemed popular with tourers staying for only one or two nights, but being there for the full 7 was no problem. All in all, a well kept and friendly hotel in a nice town, I would recommend, especially as a simple and comfortable place to stay when visiting the area.”
This was a 3 star hotel in a 4 star location close to the centre of Porto Veccio. The staff were excellent, especially the evening recepionist and breakfast waiter who both spoke good english. Breakfast was simple but adequate with the option to sit next to an outside pool. The hotel rooms would have benefited from tea & coffee available in them. The rooms were clean and cleaned very well. There was no english channel TV available in the room or small fridge. Overall we found the hotel a good base, very quiet whilst we were there in early May. We would recommend the hotel to travellers looking for a simple clean hotel with good english speaking staff and a great holiday location. Bernie & Simon”
The hotel looked rather disappointing from outside. The public space did not change the impression either and our room's decor was dated. The bathroom, however, was new and functional and the wifi worked well. The receptionist was a pleasant and helpful. Overall, this hotel offers a good value for money.”
Hotel was very clean, great location right on the beach. Had the unfortunate experience of losing my passport and the concierge was very helpful in calling the American Embassy, the airport, etc. One complaint: Our sink wasn't draining and they didn't fix it while we were there so we had to wash our hands in the shower.”
We stayed for one night prior to flying home. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Considering I only ever stay in 5 star hotels I thought this was incredibly good value for money and was better than some 5 star rooms I've stayed in. The only downside was the view which was at the back of the hotel - it was very run down - but we were not there for the view. Very modern and very efficient. Staff were very helpful.”
It is as often commented up a hill. However in Bastia choices are limited. I booked with Hotels.com as I would would not ever use Venere due to problems I've had in the past and was surprised to find this was a Venere booking by the time it arrived at the hotel and it was for a 3 person room not 2. Apparently Venere frequently get it wrong for them too and the hotel corrected the error and reduced the price. Nice hotel, Clean, Do a tea/coffee making tray for the room if you ask, helpful staff. Easy to find and breakfast starts at 6 even on Sunday so good for early flights, not a full service but enough to not need to rely on the minimalist regional airport catering.”
almost everything is good but the location is a little bit far from city center and there are few restaurant neat hotel.”
