I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Bordeaux. Whilst it is not quite in the centre of the city everything is within a 10 minute walk and the area surrounding the hotel is clean and safe. The other reviews describe this hotel/ apartment perfectly. Hotel staff aren't the most useful with tour and city information but other than that I could not fault the place. Bordeaux is an amazing city with great shopping and restaurants. If you do want to stay as clse as possible to the shops / good restaurants etc. then look for a hotel near the Theatre. Otherwise I would have no hesitation in recommending here and as I said you certianly will not need to get a taxi or public transport anywhere.”
Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Good location near the main train station and a tram stop. Also, shops, restaurants and tourist office near-by. However, could be quite noisy at night from outside at weekends.”
The room was basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was quite basic but alright. During the day the location was fine but we felt a bit vulnerable in the evening with drunks and some dodgy looking people after dark. During the night there were what we believed to be students making a lot of very load noise right through till 4 am!! Not the hotels fault but very annoying. We could only sleep with the windows closed which wasn't too bad as it was a cool night but would have been a problem if it had been hot as there was only a ceiling fan which was too noisy to sleep with.. Overall not a bad hotel.”
On the whole this hotel was excellent - the only downside was the service from the staff - they were friendly and polite, but terribly slow. This, I feel, was down to inadequate training. Overall though, the hotel was very good, in a great location, and with good access to everything.”
First time stay and pleasantly surprised. Located 3 minutes drive from Bordeax airport, the little studio is great for those wanting something different from a standard hotel. Small kitchenette with m/wave, two electic rings, coffee maker and pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Small dining table and sofa. Bed is standard French hotel, but bathroom very good. Minor gripe - no hair dryer. Swimming pool out the back. Room was very clean and fr an overnight stay for the airport it is hard to fault. Staff spoke english and were very helpful. I'd happily use this again.”
We chose this hotel because we needed somewhere convenient to the airport at the beginning and end of our family holiday. It was very friendly, clean and had relatively reasonable rates. It also has a swimming pool, which is very welcome in high summer and is well maintained. The only gripe we had was the restaurant - the service was a bit haphazard, and the food is relatively over-priced for dishes that were better described than they actually tasted, with not much choice for younger people. There are many other modestly-priced family restaurants in the area within walking distance, so don't feel trapped that you have to use the hotel restaurant! Otherwise, this hotel was perfectly suitable for our needs - we would stay here again.”
Overall very happywith the hotel. Maintenance seemed to be a slight problem. WiFi didn't work, dishwasher sliding draw jammed, air conditioning noise couldn't be turned off even in the 'off' position, hot plate switches in the wrong position etc.”
Avery nice hotel with excellent service and food close to the Gironde river and surrounded by the golf course. Peaceful and relaxing. It could have done with a larger pool and many more sunshades by the pool as there was no other shade from the sun.”
