Hotels in Mecklenburg - West Pomerania

We stayed a weekend at the hotel, togeher with our 8 year old son. He enjoyed the room, which he called the Ocean room, because everything was wavy. The sauna and steam bath department was enoyable. We had room service breakfast, which was very nice and plenty.

This is a properly kept and clean hotel very much in the center of Rostock. It's location right at the main square, though, will mean that some traffic sound (particularly loud from the trams going back and forth) in case your room faces in that direction. Otherwise, it is a smallish, even intimate place were you feel at home. The breakfast buffet is of high quality and they also have a a nice winecellar integrated with the facility with desent food. A major drawback is the very narrow underground garage, where some of the passages are so tight that it is more or less impossible to get through without getting scratches on your car (as happened to me!),

This really is a gem of a hotel situated in Bad Doberan in north Germany. I only stayed for one night but wished I had booked for longer. The village itself is pleasant and quiet so is a perfect place to relax. I went to travel on Der Molli, a 3ft narrow guage steam railway that runs through the main street and both the railway and the hotel are highly recommended.

Strand Hotel Zingst is conveniently situated for walking or the beach. I travelled with my own car and visited several ares close by eg Prerow. Quality of food excellent especially the breakfast buffet. All menbers of staff very helpful and pleasant.

A good hotel with really novel room decor including a lighthouse! You really need a hire car to make the best of it as not much in the way of public transport nearby,but there are national hire firms near. we chose SIXT and they were great. Taxi from train station 10 Euro was good value. As with many German hotels breakfast was expensive. We will use this hotel again and were pleased with it overall.

Nice modern hotel with pleasant, comfortable rooms and within easy reach of the old town. Minor drawbacks were: (i) building work nearby which started early (and had a materials delivery at about 04.00 hrs!), not that the hotel could be blamed for that; and (ii) no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which could be rectified easily.

Good hotel in good location - 10 minutes walk from old town, right next to railway station. Helpful staff and rooms were clean and well maintained. Two downsides - we specifically booked a twin room and ended up with a double, on asking to change they said they could not as the hotel was full. In our two nights there I think we saw about 6 other people. Also, no air conditioning in the room and that area of Germany gets really humid. The room was very uncomfortable during the night.
