Overall a very satisfactory stay - comfortable and elegant older hotel in a good location in a very pretty town. Our only gripe was, as is often the case in Italian hotels, we could not access an iron. We arrived late at night to attend a function the following morning. An iron was not available for guests and there was not enough time to use the hotel pressing service. So crumpled clothes for us! Can hotels.com do anything to convince hotel that many guests would consider access to an iron fairly basic, especially in these days of restricted baggage??”

The staff were excellent -- attentive, friendly, and very helpful. We selected half board [breakfast and dinner] at the hotel --the dinners were exceptional. The location was perfect -- shops, restaurants, and the hiking and biking venues. It was a very positive experience.”

Getting to this hotel was not very easy, but the trip is well worth it. It is about a ten minute ride high up on the mountain to reach the hotel, but once there, it is a piece of paradise! Service and accomodations are excellent. Food and spa were great too. Can't fault it for anything!”
