We enjoyed our stay at the Aminta very much. While it was a litte outside Sorrento centre, the shuttle sevice was excellent and the driver very pleasant. We did walk it in and out mostly, the walking path took about 20 or so. It is downhill on the way in but is more difficult on the way out with some steps but still manageable. We did not mind the walk. Breakfast was very good. The terrace has lovely views and is lovely and relaxing after being downtown. We had a room at the front of the hotel and while not overlooking Sorrento, we still had a great view of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. We had a balcony so could sit out in the evening. All in all a great stay and would certainly stay again.”
I visited this hotel at the beginning of May with some of my family. The receptionists were very helpful and the hotel as clean and well maintained. It was convenient to the centre of Sorrento and was only a short walk away to the shops and restaurants. There is a lovely rooftop area overlooking the sea with a small pool and there is another larger pool beside the garden area which is quite shaded but gets the sun in the afternoon. Overall we really enjoyed out stay here. We only had the breakfast, but this was really splendid with plenty of choice.”
The hotel was great for that area. One of the things should be looked into and corrected is the access of internet. It was confusing and took quite a bit of time to to be able to use it. If you pay for the hour it might take you that much time to get on with it.”
Overlooking the Mediterranean the hotel has a fantastic view. Tucked away in the midst of the coastline and away from the madding crowd a great place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking view. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable.Had a wonderful time in Positano.Since we were driving we had no problems in visiting the most revered sights and enjoyed the drive in the hills with the sharp hair pin curvature of the roads. The hotel has a garage which comes with an additional charge and so our car was safe.”
Wonderful hotel - slighly old fashionned, but in a good way. If good service, location and atmosphere are important to you, book it. If you are all about technology and designer touches, go elsewhere. We keep going back.”
The hotel is very clean, very well located within one block of the shops and restaurants - would definitely go back! The only drawback was getting there by car, there are several parking lots before you get to the hotel but if you miss them like we did, its a long detour to get back. Also, it can get a little noisy at night but i think this is typical for this area of the Amalfi coast.”
We loved our stay at the Weber. From check-in to check-out, staff did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. Our room had a large terrace and fabulous sea view (as do most of the rooms) and was right above a nice stone beach (with lovely bits of sea glass thrown up by the ocean). A word to those with difficulties climbing stairs - the descent to the beach is steep (stairs all the way though) and there are over a hundred stairs but, once you've gone down and up a couple of times, the up side is you can eat almost anything you want and be guaranteed not to gain any weight. The hotel provides a frequent shuttle service into Capri and back and will pick you up and drop you off at the marina if you wish although that wasn't mentioned in the information on their website so we spent a good amount to taxi up to the hotel on our arrival. We would definitely stay at the Weber again - it's a little piece of extra paradise on an island that delivers on almost everything you might wish it to.”
We booked via a website and were very happy with the kindness of the staff and beauty of the hotel and surroundings. Instead of a room without a view (as we expected), we were given a room with sea-view and bath (not just shower). The room is atmospheric, blends in well with the blue of Capri. Lovely roof-terrace and all in easy walking distance from the quay: to be recommended!”
This boutique hotel gave us individual and customized service to meet our needs. Recommended Restaurants and Private Boat Tour (a definite must). Welcoming drink where they understood what we wanted to do while in Capri and then helped us with suggestions. Private car at our disposal with just a phone call. Great breakfast with fresh cooked omelette. Large rooms with great view and location with easy access to ports and city(by car).”
I stayed at the Pagoda for four days in August 2011 and it was fantastic. The best thing about the hotel was the people. The managers and workers there were very friendly and helpful. I also had the pleasure of meeting other travelers from Italy and around the world. The hotel also features a large pool and two jacuzzis looking over the cliff to the sea, making for some stunning views. Pagoda also has a nice beach is you want to swim in the salty waters of the Mediterranean. The rooms were large and comfortable. My sister and I booked for a twin room, but Pagoda gave us a full apartment instead with two large rooms and a kitchen. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, and they had a wide variety of food and tasty treats to start your day. The design of the Pagoda is very cool. It's much more of a resort than a hotel, which most of the rooms leading directly out to the pool, restaurant or main walkway. The Pagoda is located just a three minute walk north of the main port where the boat drops you off, which makes for some very easy traveling. It's also built on a small hill and is somewhat secluded from what is usually a very busy island in summer, allowing for us to sleep well at night in a quiet atmosphere. At the same time, it's also close to shops, stores and some fantastic restaurants and nightclubs based in the port. My sister and I were in Italy for two weeks, and the Pagoda was by far the best hotel experience we had. I HIGHLY recommend it to single travelers and families alike.”
Hotel Aragona is a quick walk away from the ferry port. The spa was very small, but since it was offseason weren't very many people there. Massages were expensive for what you got. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would stay here again.”
The hotel location is fantastic. Service is great! The whole place looks like a small paradise. I've been at the hotel a week ago, and and for sureplanning on returning to the hotel next year. The place is very very very romantic!!! I realy recommend on takinga vacation on that hotel.”
