I would highly recommend this hotel for 3 reasons: 1) Excellent location. It is right next to the west lake and an upscale shopping area. 2) Excellent food. I have tried their Chinese (Hangzhou) restaurant and lounge and both did not disappoint me. In particular, I would recommend its Chinese restaurant which offers, in my opinion, the finest Hangzhou food in the area. 3) Excellent service. (i) When I arrived, the staff members greeted me warmly and made arrangements for me (buying tickets for Impression West Lake show) smoothly and professionally. (ii)When I left the hotel, there was a traffic jam and it was very difficult to find a taxi. I was very moved by the effort of their staff members in going outside of the hotel area to find a taxi for me to allow me catch my train.”
The hotel was an easy walk from West Lake and very close to the night market. It is a short (minimum charge) taxi ride from the station. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. Food was satisfactory. We were very satisfied overall with our stay.”
I wanted to watch the "Impression of West Lake" in Hangzhou by Zhang YiMou and a friend recommended this hotel. It is a wonderful choice as its only a stone throw from the show. The hotel is a real classic, very well maintained, with modern convenience. We had the lake view room on the 5th floor. It has a wonderful view of Hangzhou Westlake from that level as its above the lush canopy of tress in the sprawling resort. Avoid lake view rooms that are below level 4 as your view will be blocked by the trees. The Italian restaurant served very good and authentic Italian food. We had a good wine bottle of Spanish wine at reasonable price. The buffet breakfast was ordinary though. It is a wonderful hotel for holiday in Hangzhou but maybe a bit far for business as its away from the CBD.”
The hotel staff were great, spoke good English and were most helpful. Everyone from the front desk, room service, and at the wonderful buffet. Wonderful personal service. They made each of us feel like a special guest. Next year when I go back to Ningbo for work, I will for sure be staying here again.”
Of the top tier hotels in Ningbo, this one is probably the cheapest. This one also has the best location about a block from TainYe square the center of town. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Internet speed is good. Breakfast has a lot of choices. Glass in the windows is good enough to make the rooms quiet.”
it was a short but relaxing stay in Sheraton Ningbo. the room is huge, not that modern (perhaps in few years time the renovation is required) but is good enough. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is quite cozy. will certainly recommend this hotel. The facility is surprisingly good: the gym, pool, sauna and jacuzzi”
I was not at all sure what to expect for the inexpensive rate, but in China, this buys you everything you need. Not only was the room more like a suite, with a couch and coffee table and desk, but the internet was free, breakfast buffet every morning was included in the room rate, and the hotel is right around the corner from a "mall" which includes Wal-Mart, Starbucks, McDonalds and KFC for those that crave the occasional western meal. It's not quite in the downtown busy area, so print out the directions, a map, the name of the hotel in Chinese character so your cab driver can find it. It was about $45 RMB ride from the train stations, which was about $5 american. I will be going back to Jiaxing again within the year, and will definitely stay at this hotel.”
Very nice hotel, great breakfast the staff was very nice. I left my laptop charger in my room and they contacted me via cell phone and sent it by express mail to my next hotel in Shanghai. Superb service and rooms.”
EX Palm D'Or International Hotel was the perfect place to land after 18 hours of travel. Soft, comfortable beds, a sense of luxury and calm. The staff is very helpful, enjoyed the bar and the restaurant (which features a lot of Italian food), well located and would definitely return. Upon departure, one of my suitcases got left in the lobby and when I arrived at the airport, the bellman had jumped in a cab to bring it to me and found me as I was getting out of my own cab--would not take a tip and I was so appreciative of his kindess.”
