Compared to other mid-range Western hotels in Chengdu, this hotel represents excellent value for money - complimentary Western and Chinese breakfast, free wifi and good city centre location. My two main gripes with hotels in China (and that includes 4-star Western ones) are the lack of cleaniness and the lingering smell of cigarettes - fortunately this hotel did not have either. It was also refreshing to have nice smelling bedsheets and towels for once. An added bonus was that unlike most other hotels in China, the bed at this hotel was soft and we had the choice of both soft and hard pillows - a nice touch. Finally, I loved the yummy zesty green tea scent that lingered throughout the foyer. This hotel is ideal for business travellers, couples and families alike.”
Truly the worst thing was that I was only staying one night, and that it was the beginning of my 2 week trip so no need to use the very useful washing machine in my room. Wonderful staff, great room, nice breakfast, loved the bathroom -- and little kitchen too! there was a little scent of off-gassing in the room....”
