Good value. Great rooms for size and comfort. Great location walking distance to JR station. No wifi unless you are signed up with Softbank”
Recently went on a business trip to the Matsuyama area and ended up having to stay on more day on short notice. The only hotel available was the Hotel Okudogo and I am glad it was. The dinner buffet was amazing with great versions of American and Japanese food selection. Since there was a hot springs festival in town they had a lot of tourist groups there for for their on site hot springs so ended up getting a free upgrade to one of their 5 private hot spring rooms to make room in the standard rooms for the groups. These 5 private rooms were amazing. Very authentic Japanese feel to the rooms and the rooms private hot spring was great. Very clean hotel and the staff didn't hesitate 1 second to go out of their way to help me out. Only problem I had with the hotel was that is was so far away from Matsuyama Airport, but this couldn't not be helped and does not effect my great experience. All around it easily got a 5 star rating from me!!!”
This hotel was reasonably priced, without being cheap, however, on our Japan trip it was by far the nicest we stayed in. Rooms are spotlessly clean, very modern and spacious (by Japanese standards). Staff were extremely helpful (and spoke perfect English if you require it) and the hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town with shopping malls, restaurants and cafes close by. It is about 20 minutes walk from the main train station.”
Excellent hotel for the price. Conveniently located downtown - a bit over a kilometer walk from the train station. Breakfast, at the hotel, was inexpensive, as well. Easy check in and easy check out. If you are traveling, and just need a quick place to rest your head and grab breakfast - the Takamatsu Washington Hotel Plaza is a good choice; the rooms are small by western standards, but the beds were comfortable. A+.”
Hotel was clean, tidy and central to everything. 10 minute walk to train station with good little japanese restaurants close by. Only thing with this area is that there is very few banks and exchanges, so if you go to Tokuahima make sure you have plenty of Yen when you go.”
