Hotels in Cantabria

From the moment we walked in through the doors we were treated with the utmost kindness and patience from the lovely staff who were always very helpful and full of information on the locality and suggestions of things to do. They all spoke perfect English and had a very charming and engaging manner with their guests, nothing asked of them was too much and they genuinely seemed to enjoy their visitors and guests. They had a great knowledge of the area and the culture and made it very easy for first time visitors to Santander to understand their ways and local customs. The hotel was spotless and we were given a great view over the marina and bay even though there should have been a charge, the fact that we stayed for a week, they let us have it for free, not the case in many hotels we have visited before. The hotel was very central for all the delights of Santander and the majority of shops, cafe bars and restaurants were just a couple of streets away, it was a walkers paradise with no place too far to tackle. Santander is a stunningly beautiful city and this is the perfect hotel to enjoy all that it has to offer. I would certainly not hesitate in in recommending it to anyone, the amount of supplies that came with the on suite was the best I have encountered at any hotel yet and replaced every day as used. It was very quiet and peaceful for a good nights sleep and no noise could be heard as it is well soundproofed. Please choose this Hotel for your stay and you won't be dissapointed and if Sara is there she will look after you in the most pleasant and friendly manner that will make your stay a treat.

Although not too close to the town centre for shopping, the football stadium is only 2 minutes walk. We were amazed that for almost the same cost of staying at an Ibis Hotel we were provided with such a large deluxe room. The staff although not fluent in English were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was closed for the evening but the menu for the day and bar food was all freshly cooked and very good. We would definitely stay there again if visiting or passing through Santander. Most important as we were trying to sort out our business at the same time - free WIFI and no hassle

excellent location near the beach and casino hotel staff very efficient woke up first morning with blood on my pillow which I thought was from a bite of some insect staff very efficient in getting medic to me who dressed the affected area

Was there with my wife last week and it was a superb experience. Attractive price, great location overlooking the ocean, and splendid atmosphere. The hotel is an architectural jewell that dates back to the early 1900's; is well kept and the presonnel are very professional and helpful. Breakfast was incredible (included Cava) although pricey. We are planning to return

Hotel located about 3 miles north west of Santander centre. Basic but cheap and rooms large, comfortable and clean. Staff friendly but little english spoken ( in keeping with most of northern Spain!). Suburban surroundings, but perfectly adequate cafe attached, serving tapas, burgers, pizzas etc. We didn't try hotel restaurant for evening meal, but good buffet breakfast. Parking in small private road outside hotel entrance. Would recommend as ideal for one night before/after ferry crossing.
