good hotel, a little out of town, but handy for the bus station nearby, only negative no local restaurants after a busy day sightseeing uptown and bar restaurant in the hotel which is separate / more focussed on local street trade not very helpful if you don't speak spanish - but it still is a good hotel despite the restaurant”
Walking distance to La Concha beach in SanSebastian. This hotel was comfortable and the pool was delightful. It was close to the bus stop to bring you into the center of town. As in all cities, driving is less than pleasant.”
The hotel is undergoing renovation so the lobby was a bit of a mess ... But the staff was friendly and spoke good English, We parked our rental car at the hotel ... Safe but peace of mind comes at a price. Our room looked out onto some lovely buildings and terraces and we really did not care if we had a view of the Bay. Mattress was a little too hard for me but linens were fresh clean and substantial. Bathroom was spotless but had a bit of a musty smell that must have to do with construction as towels were all fresh. Included a bidet that is a lovey invention almost never seen in the US. Initially had trouble with the free WiFi but it worked better later on in the evening. The weather was blustery but our room stayed cozy and we could open the window when it was stuffy. All in all a very pleasant stay.”
Good value, really friendly staff, good location close to airport with an easy walk into town and absolutely first rate restaurant round the corner. Hotel a little hard to find in a residential district. Maybe not the location for a long stay but good for a short break. Some rooms are in a lower ground area which are fine unless the view is important to you but it means the external photos of the hotel don't do it justice.”
We considered staying in San Sebastian but are so happy that we didn't. This is such a quaint town. So alive with community and quirks. Remember that the Basques have their own language and traditions and we felt very welcomed. The food is excellent, both on the street and their restaurants. We took a bus into San Sebastian instead of driving taking 35 mins, easy and practically right from the hotel door. The people here are lovely. Try and the cider and their own tapas, which isn't called that but pinchos (I think). The hotel too is very convenient, clean and freindly. No problem in recommending.”

We needed a place to rest for the night while traveling with the cats. This place was very convenient in our route to sleep and rest until the next day. Not very big but very clean and the staff was nice. We payed a few extra euros for the cats at the hotel, as specified in the online booking small print. It is like a motel style place, with each room facing the parking lot. Very pleased.”
such lovely helpful reception staff and a lovely hotel but a little bit faded - eg slightly worn carpets tell of an era past. Wonderful linen on comfortable beds! If you can get a price deal it is a gem centrally situated. The breakfast is ok but NOT worth 15 euros.”
Very comfortable hotel situated near to the old town and easily accessible by car. The restaurant serves a very reasonable Menu del Dia each day and cooked breakfasts are available as well as Continental. As so often in the region, parking charges are high, but worthwhile as secure on site.”
The hotel was well situated for access to the medieval centre, it is a simple walk in. The hotel reception staff were very nice and the ones I dealt with spoke English. Close to the hotel, there were plenty of cafes and some nice restaurants. Parking was ok, you just had to drive around a bit to find somewhere in the surrounding streets, if you did not want to use the hotel car park. The centre of Vitoria was very nice and we enjoyed walking around it. Vitoria made a good base for exploring the local area. We used the Tourist office in the Plaza to get some great ideas and one day we drove off to see walled Laguardia as a result.”
pre-booked 1 night and asked to stay 2. Hotel was VERY quiet but wanted to charge much more money for the second nights stay! As there was no beds to change etc etc this seemed unreasonable. We bartered and got the price reduced a bit. We stayed a second night but almost didn't bother. Wi-fi was an extra charge and the whole hotel appeared to run on a tight budget e.g 2 milks, 2 tea bags, 2 coffees in the room.”
