Wanted a quiet romantic week away and this hotel was perfect. The hotel was quiet during september, not many kids or families. Swimming pool was clean and not too busy in September. Only disadvantage was you had to pay for towels, but got voucher for free water with each towel. Breakfast was expensive €28 so we opted to walk to local supermarket 5 minutes away and stock up on all essentials. We only went out to local restaurants which cos €40 including dinner and wine. The beer in hotel was expensive at €5 while the same beer was €1.80 in local restaurant. Would advise to stock up on drinks and leave in fridge in room. Our room was basic but suited us well, as we were out all day. We got bus into town €1.20 and took ten minutes.. So that was perfect. The atmosphere and staff were amazing. Always willing to help. We will definitely go back again!!”
We stayed here in June and were not disappointed. The only tiny problem was that the hotel is undergoing a huge refurbishment. Not really a problem except that the foyer had an horrible smell...presumably the adhesive. It was also a little noisy with work being carried out, during the day. At no time was our sleep disturbed and the entire place was immaculate as possible during this difficult time. The pool area is in need of an upgrading too. The staff were exceptional again, and inspite of this minor hiccough we will return. The food and service were brilliant again.”
Hotel room was clean and spacious with good sized bathroom. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and patiently answered our queries. Cleaning staff also very friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. We had also opted for their breakfast which was a good choice. Good selection of hot and cold food. Recommended! Only thing was instead of a queen bed, it was made up of 2 beds joint together.”
another great experience in the cortijo blanco. have stayed in other hotels in the area but this is the one i keep going back to. cant beat the price for what you get with accom, service etc. Wouldnt think of staying anywhere else :)”
The Aloha Gardens is a very nice place for young and old, with an indoor heated pool, hot-tub and beautiful grounds. There is ample free car parking at the front of the hotel. The Apartment was clean , spacious and comfortable, with great views of the fireworks displays from the rooftop of the apartment on NYE. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and there is a supermarket nearby also for convenience. However the hotel may be difficult to find for tourists. The hotel is off the beaten track ( which is good too!!) I would suggest a rental car is needed for anyone staying in this area of Puerto banus/Marbella”
I LOVE THE SPA AND EASE OF MAKING RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER AND FINDING INFORMATION ABOUT LOCAL EVENTS. I DIDN'T CARE TOO MUCH FOR THE SURROUNDING AREAS AND CONSTRUCTION CLOSE TO THE HOTEL. IT WAS NOT A GOOD LOOK.”
The Silken Puerta Malaga was in a very convenient location for us. We arrived on the train from the airport in the evening and were leaving by train the next day so the hotel is in an ideal location - close to the station. I was entirely happy with the service, comfort and convenience.”
When we booked in they said they didn't have the room we booked through the web site (it's unavailable). When they gave us the alternative room (twin instead of king) it was already occupied. I immediately went to the lobby and they were very apologetic. We were given an executive room to apologise which was good but we had already paid for it anyway. The hotel was in a good location for the marina shops/restaurants and beach and also the old quarter. Breakfast was lovely with coffee on an expresso machine. Overall a great choice.”
The hotel was a bit abandoned since we visited in off season. This said, it was perfectly clean, the rooms were a decent size, with a view onto a street the bathrooms were large and the WiFi was free and dast. Only problem was that the hotel is a bit out of the way, being about 25 mins walk down (and returning up) a hill to get the centre - about 7 EUR taxi cost. The hotel does not own a parking lot, but has an arrangement with a private park which is literally next door to give parking to hotel guests at a very reasonable rate. All in all, a decent four star hotel, and excellent value for money.”
Ok hotel if you are going to visit Alhambra: only 2 bus stops away. A little further to city centrum, one can take a bus (bus stop near the hotel) or taxi which was to a reasonable price. Breakfast: wide choice. Swimming pool- small and not so much sun bathing space but quite OK for a swim. Reception: helpfull and very friendly.”
I would have stayed longer in Granada if I had had the time. The hotel was centrally located and one could walk in any direction and find things to do and see. The staff was excellent and helpful in everyway, and any requests were taken care of with a smile and a honest desire to help. I felt they were interested in making sure I would enjoy my stay in the City. Granada is a lovely city with much more to do than I had anticipated, and the location of the hotel made it all very available.”
Lovely styled hotel. Located about a ten minute walk from the centre of town. No. 3 bus around the corner of the hotel goes through the centre of Granada and goes by the main bus station - very handy. Our room on the 7th floor had great views of the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. The only problem we had was that the temperature controls in our room did not seem to be working so we could not turn down the heat. Having said that, we did not notify hotel management of this and the weather was not great so we did not mind. Would stay here again.”
