I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room had a wonderfull view - partly on the sea partly on the mountains. The air conditioning was working properly. Meals and choice of food were really huge. The only thing I didn't like was a very cold water in the swimming pool. You couldn't swim at all as it was freezing in the water, alltough the temperture outside was about 25 degrees. The trade mill in the gym didn't work as well. Despite of that they really overcharged for using of WiFi - 1 hour cost 4 EUR. If you wanted to use the stationary PC located in the grounf floor it cost 1 EUR for 7,5 minutes. And the most radiculos thing - to borrow an iron they asked me to pay 15 EUR. So I didn't really feel well on new years eve as I decided not to pay that to simply profit makers.”
The hotel was lovely, we had room 765 and it has a very large separate bedroom, although the standard bedroom is big enough anyway. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a kettle, toaster, microwave, full cooker, full cutlery set, coffee maker, glasses, plates cups etc. Full fridge and freezer is handy. Restaurant is quite good value and the food is lovely. Halp board is 14.50 euros per adult and includes and includes a full breakfast and a 2-course dinner in the evening. Although in the local area there is a fine Irish bar doing food from 6 euros per meal. Also an Aberdeen steakhouse doing great value fantastic food. Full brekkie inc. tea/toast 3 euros, 3 course evening meal inc steaks, prawn cocktails, etc Thought portions here would have been smaller given its a cheap set menu but they were huge and very filling. Highly recommend this restaurant, and its less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There are many good/great points to this hotel and I could go on for ever about them. I must point out a small number of small items, there is a water treatment/sewage plant on the east of the hotel. No smell in the hotel, but if you walk in that direction out of the hotel, you will get the pong. The area is very quite. There is a small marina about 3 minute walk away and this is nice. There are about 6 restaurants and another 6-8 convenience/souvenier shops within a 5 minute walk. There is a small village about 10 minute walk east and there are a few more shops/restaurants here, but not to many. There is a local scheduled bus service from the hotel area to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. Fare is about 4 euros return for an adult. We got a shared shuttle transfer and this cost 5 euros per person each way, about half the cost of a taxi. My last "not-so-good" point is that the kids pool would not be suitable for kids under the age of about 5. The shallowest part of the pool is 0.8m about 28" which may be too deep for really young children. As for the Timeshare”
The place was lovely, not as nice as the north of the island. However the main problem was the quality of the customers and surrounding shops and restaurants. What terrible examples of brit's abroad, I was embarressed to be speaking english.”
This was our first experience of all inclusive and we were very impressed. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, the service excellent. Drinks were free from 10.30am until midnight and the quality was first class. Food was of a good standard although after a week it did feel a little predictable. Overall an excellent hotel and one we'd recommend to families or couples.”
The hotel was grand, nice big pool with plenty of sun loungers, etc. We booked in for room only but did try the food in the buffet. I didn't think the breakfast was great, but the lunch was grand, with salads and hot food available. I would however have been disappointed with the food if I had gone 2all included". The hotel was nice, with views onto the pool, and rooms cleaned every day. The staff were very polite and had perfect English at reception. Location was very good as we were 5 minutes from the harbour, and about 10 from the strip. I would definitely go back.”
Nice Hotel for relaxing and admiring the ocean, Good choice for breakfast the only thing is if going there for supper you will see some of the same things again for supper. Suite are nice and cleaned twice a day. Lots od activities in the hotel and great kids club. Lack of management around and not a great welcoming on arrival, also no porter on duty a lot of the time so be perpared to carry you own bags. Good entertainment in the evening. Overall a few things to improve on but very relaxing”
Overall I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. It has a great location. There was a very accessible gated exit to the main promenade. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed on a B and B basis and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The pool was a great size and well maintained. However, there are a few minor suggestions I would like to propose. The exterior finish to this hotel by no means reflects its beautiful interior design. To put this in context if I had seen a photo (which are very difficult to find for now obvious reasons!) of the outside of this hotel prior to booking I would not have stayed here. This is a shame as the interior and overall up keep of the interior of the hotel is excellent. Another small suggestion I would make is to upgrade the quality of the furniture on the bedroom balconies and also by the poolside. The furniture in both these locations was made of poor quality plastic and uncomfortable as a result. A final potential suggestion I would make is to perhaps keep the daily fitness aerobic sessions a little quieter and less intrusive for those not partaking. Though I feel the aerobics class itself was a lovely idea the loudness of the music for the full hour long session was slightly overbearing. Overall I had a lovely stay and with a few minor alterations this hotel could easily be upgraded to first class.”
We stayed for a week on b & b basis with one seaview room for us and one standard for the kids. The ceiling next to their a\c unit was soaking and dripping to the floor but they were promptly moved by the porter and received complimentary robes and slippers for their trouble. Breakfast is an amazing feast and can be taken by the pool or in large diningroom. Service throughout hotel friendly and efficient tho the check-in does seem to take forever despite the complimentary cava. The situation is perfect right on beach and only minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Peaceful and relaxing fun break. We are looking at dates to return already!!”
Because of the concentration of the housekeeping staff on preparing empty rooms for incoming clients our room was not looked after. A letter was pushed under the door saying that they did not enter because of the "Do not disturb" notice. This was only posted in the late afternoon. Not acceptable at these rates.”
5 min from bus station. 10 min from lovely streets with variety of restaurants”
My room was very comfortable. It took a bit to navigate around the hotel, but easily learned. I did have a problem maintaining a WiFi connection in my room but I think it was my touchpad's issue. Prices for food and beverages are a bit steep but that's expected in a 4 or 5 star hotel.”
Went to Santa Cruz for Carnival and pleased to find that Hotel Principe Paz was in an excellent location. The Carnival was right on our doorstep. Hotel comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. Not a hotel if you want to sleep as people returning from Carnival up to 5am and full of the joy of Carnival. Would stay there again for Carnival time.”
