The hotel is a short walking distance to the Cathedral Quarter for a night out and to the main shopping street. Hotel was generally very clean and quite new. Rooms were spacious and modern - more than what I expected for a 3 star. It was perfect for a night out in Belfast. Bar area was disappointing. Its an open area beside reception, tends to be loud and isn't very comfortable. Doesn't matter too much though as you are so close to nearby pubs and restaurants.”
Very nice hotel. We got a very good rate on Hotels.com. Not sure that I would have paid the hotel's own rates. We stayed there while going to the Titanic Experience. It is a good 15-20 minute walk, and as we stayed over for the spectacular light show, we walked that walk four times. Nice hotel. We didn't wait for breakfast next morning as we were rushing, but they do a good deal if you pre-book at the desk (its £6 more expensive each if you dont).”
My fiancée and I came to Belfast for the weekend, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is in the city centre which was brilliant as we could go out for a meal and drinks for the night, and on the Saturday they facilitated us in booking a bus tour to the Giant's Causeway. The bus just picked us up at the hotel at 9am and dropped us off again at 6pm. The steam room and sauna was also very nice at the end of the day on the Antrim coastline. We were very happy, and we would highly recommend this hotel to people who want to see Belfast, and visit the Giant's Causeway, the rope bridge and the beautiful coastline in Northeast Ireland.”
Lovely buidling, full of character. Nice to arrive on Friday evening to grand piano playing as we dined. The food matched up to the billing - delicious but very exdpensive. Percy French's, a 1min walk down the driveway offers better value for money. Beautiful location - suited to climb Slieve Donard and discover the Mournes. Only negative was an overheated and musty room on arrival but the room we moved to was good.”
Only stayed 1 night but very nice, clean, friendly staff. My only gripe was-A bottle of water was left on a tray and a sign sticking out "enjoy this water" so my husband when we returned to the room after our night out opened the bottle dranked some of it only to discover it was sparkling which he doesn't like so let it there and then the next morning to top it all read the rest of the sign which was covered by bottle and we now had to pay £2.95 for it.!! We were not happy.”
Very impressed at the quality of the hotel. Very polite, friendly staff, Having been a frequent viistor to Derry. This was the first time I did not stay with family and brought my girlfriend. The staff were very accomodating from reringing a taxi that was delayed to very good after hours service. The bar food is excellent a large group of us ate and throughout the variety of dishes the food was excellent and the portions were huge. The rooms are very comfortable and the shower in the en-suite was very powerful and refreshing. the only complaint i could make is the rooms got very warm the first night but i was able to turn off the radiator in the room without calling reception. Overall a throughly enjoyable experience and both myself and my girlfriend will be staying again and are looking forward to our next visit.”
Derry is a city where alcohol is worshipped. Arrive at your hotel to find the entire ground floor heaving with people drinking and a band that is playing ten times louder than anyone can scientifically hear - all conversation at the Reception desk is SHOUTED and is still inaudible... However, hotels need to make money and providing a band and drink and an occasion is the way it is in Derry. Like it or lump it. At other times, the hotel is very nice, beautifully situated although parking is a problem.”
Staff very accomodating - helped resolve major difficulties. Facilitated travel to local destinations. Free internet access on site - communicated personal safety. Noise level kept to minimum - car park and airport opposite Hotel. Quality of meals and service excellent. Enjoyed stay very much, used as a base and point of departure to meet up for oganised trip.”
Budget price Hotel but certainly not a budget service!! Friendly, chatty staff, immaculately clean room (including bathroom), quality bed and an on-the-ball service. The breakfast was second to none and the laid-back atmosphere was just great. No room service but I'd only to lift the phone, order what I wanted and go collect it! There's a Restaurant right on its doorstep, literally.......and everything you could possibly need no more than 60 seconds away. I can't wait to go back!! Can't believe the price I paid, a steal.....First class!”
Perfect for flying from Belfast int.,free car parking provided for up to 5 days 5 minutes from lodge and shuttle bus to and from airport.Roms very neat .Staff very homely and ladies in restaurant couldn't have been friendlier, food excellent too.”
