Hotels in Nuevo Leon

We stayed at the hotel Fiesta Americana for 9 nights in the middle of February 2012. The hotel is very nice and very accommodating. My spouse and I- we are a married gay couple and the hotel was very accepting of us and gave us no issues whatsoever- had a room with a king-sized bed. The negatives: - the rooms are a little dated in their look -food costs are high at the hotel The positives: -the hotel is in a great location- on the Plaza Hidalgo, next to the main plaza, the Macro Plaza, and next to the pedestrian street of Morelos. -the staff was very accommodating & helpful -the bed was very comfortable and a good size. -very clean rooms as well as the building in whole. About Monterrey: Yes,the city has received a lot of negative news lately for good reason. I have visited the city regularly (for long and short periods of time) over the last seven years and I have never felt any risk to my personal safety, ever. You should take precautions, but that does not mean that the city center cannot be enjoyed without ease. The location of the hotel makes it easy to move around and see the sights knowing you are in a very secure area.

Excellent hotel, very well located, very spacious rooms, high level of comfort amenities. Excellent staff. Great restaurant (Bice Bistro). Fantastic Gym. Verey modern decor, all required amenities for a busy business traveler: Internet; plasma tv; clock radio; very nice room and bathroom with seprate WC and shower. Great service too.

Good price and comfortable, near the Zona Roza. I prefer the rooms on the garden side

Hotel Safi Valle (note there are two Hotel Safis in Monterrey) is a top rate hotel with friendly staff and immaculate. Extremely good value for overseas guests because of the exchange rate. The location is in a major suburb with a large shopping centre opposite. In Monterrey there is some awaremess needed of safety and security, but this is a well policed suburb and felt perfectly safe, even at night. The one disadvantage might be the distance from the attractions of the city centre(wonderful musems and art gallery), but taxis are very cheap, and the 10-15 minute taxi ride 50-60 pesos.

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn, it was very clean and very well located for my needs in the area. The entrance to hotel main door is a little steep just to be careful.

This hotel was great. It was very clean and nice. Very good price and the breakfast was beyond delicious. Really enjoyed my stay here. Also there is a free shuttle to airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

This HI Express is close to MTY airport. Complementy shuttle arrived at the airport saving a few pesos. Hotel is new, I have stayed here before and nothing beats new. I arrived too late for the snack and beverage hour. There are several other hotels in this area, so it is not all by itself. A small restaurant is attached, but I did not eat there. Breakfast was excellent. A good place to stay.
