The view was amazing, we loved our room, only complaint was loud nightclub music every night and through to early hours. DO NOT EAT FISH from Paradise Restaurant a few doors done, unfortunately i became very very ill from bad fish on the last night of our stay, many many times i was vomiting and having diarohea up the whole night and was ill for at least 4 days after and had contracted Amebiasis. The hotel itself was great, nice friendly staff and well presented place.”
Our family regularly stays at the Princess. It is one of the nicest hotels we know - pool & garden area are unbeatable - there is always something to do - food/buffet is fantastic - great for kids Hope to be back soon”
ALL WAS PERFECT. MAIDS FORGOT TO REPLENISH THE COFFEE AND TEA, BUT MGMNT QUICKLY REPLACED BOTH. MOLE CHICKEN WAS EXCELLENT FOR DINNER. KIND OF CREEPY THAT WEATHER WAS PERFECT BUT BEACHES EMPTY. TOURISTS MUST BE SCARED! HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT, STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. A/C TOO NOISY MY ONLY COMPLAINT. RM 162”
This truly is an awesome hotel. It has a superb location away from the hurly burly of the Ixtapa hotel strip and its vast grounds are fantastic. Although the hotel could use some touch ups here and there it istill is one of the best in Mexico. We have been going there for 21 years and the staff is outstanding.”
Capella was wonderful, we had a fantastic honeymoon stay in November. The staff was amazing from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurants to the pool staff, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. We've traveled alot and the service at this hotel was exceptional, perhaps the best I've ever seen. We stayed in the Deluxe Capella suite, it had beautiful views and a wonderful patio that had full sun all day so the pool stayed nice and warm. I'd highky recommend paying extra for the upgrade. The location was great, it was nice and secluded, away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but close enough to just hop in a cab to go to restaurants, shopping or Isla Ixtapa. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet relaxing getaway, wouldn't really recommend it for families with kids.”
The Emporio has always been a favourite of ours. The only issue being the loud music from Senor Frog's until 4am that the double glazing couldn't stop. This isn't the hotel's fault but I'd suggest splashing out for a sea view would help with this. All in all a great place in an excellent location with friendly, helpful staff.”
Would definitely recommend this 1st rate hotel. We stayed in one of their Garden Superior Rooms and were very happy & comfortable during our week long stay. Very quiet & clean room. Hammock to lay in on our front patio was so relaxing. Unbelievable service is second to none. We felt like royalty. Amenities are great, grounds & tropical gardens beautiful. Right on the beach (easy access) & pools perfect & clean. Their infinity pool looks right out onto the beach & ocean, with bar service just a flip of the flag away. Lovely beach/ swimming & a lot of water activities at your fingertips. Staff are charming & make you feel very welcome. They bend over backwards to please you. Food a little pricey, but very, very good & the ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. Easy enough to walk along the beach & eat elsewhere if you want to. Many restaurants to choose from or also a short taxi ride into the town. Some fun tours can be arranged through a recreation staff member in the lobby. If you want to interact with tourists only and stay in one of the many high rises, then go to Ixtapa. Locals work in Ixtapa but none of them live there. We really enjoyed interacting with both tourists and locals alike in Zihuatanejo & getting away from the high rises. We felt very safe at the Viceroy & can't wait to go back !”
We spent 5 days here and everything was unmatched in quality, service, and the VIEW was incredible. The architecture is like you are in a jungle tree house of luxury. The food from the kitchen is amazing and the pool is perfectly refreshing. You pretty much don't have to leave if you don't want to go to beach. The town of Zihua is also very charming with lots of local flavors to choose from for food. We loved it so much that we are already planning our return in a few months!”
