Great hotel overall with a good location in the Palenque-centro hotel area. Very nice clean rooms with AC and nice swimming pool. During our stay there was construction work going on a new building for the hotel, which by the way seems like it will be opened soon. In any case they were nice enough to tell us in advance about possible noise (which turned out to be very little and perfectly fine) and even offer a room in sister hotel next door Maya Tulipanes.”
The service is excellent, personnel excellent, location ideal... it is a short distance to the downtown Palenque, if you like to walk, you can walk to the ruins site, it is 9 K but worth it. This is my second time in the hotel and looking forward to be back.”
A new airport was built a couple of years ago and this is not reflected on hotels.com. This hotel in Tuxla is well over a half an hour away from the airport. The hotel lobby was under construction, so it was pretty messy.”
the hotel is far away from the airport. if you don't have mexican pesos they won't exchage us dollars”
We had a great time at tierra y cielo, the staff were great, and the location was just superb. Get the manager to make you a special coffee made with liquor, as it is one to remember and don´t forget the camera so you can capture all the flames. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone, and i would happily stay there again. the only downside actually there are two. The first is the beds. They were harder than concrete. i didn´t want to write this as every other aspect was just perfect, but you have to be honest. The second has nothing to do with the hotel, but more a reflection on San Cristobal de las casas itself and that is the nightlife. We looked everywhere for a place that had live music where we could have a drink everywhere you look are restaurants that you can drink in but no live music bummer.”
My friend and I stayed for 4 nights. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful with everything. The hotel is a beautifully restored hacienda in the Centro Historico. The location couldn't be better, as it is close to the pedestrian promenades, the Cathedral and a plethora of fine restaurants and boutiques, The market is only a few blocks away. The morning breakfast buffet and room service provided a choice of delicious Southern Mexican as well as European choices for every taste. Beds were comfortable, with 4 pillows per bed and the beautiful bathroom has good water pressure and plenty of hot water.”
My friends and I stayed here based on the recommendation of another friend. We were very pleased with the hotel, service, and the restaurant nearby. We will probably stay there again when we go to Tapachula.”
