Hotels in Campeche

The hotel is in a perfect location just two blocks from both the malecon and from the main square. You can walk to any location from there. The hotel itself is beautiful, an old restored home with elagant patio and nice refreshing pool. The service was of top quality no questions asked when we arrived two hours before check-in time, the room was ready in about twenty minutes. There is on-sight parking that is free, which is very convinient since you don't want to drive too much there. Some have said that they had a problem with breakfast, I was told up-front by the front desk that the breakfast was not included and was told the prices. I chose the continental breakfast, which cost approximately $5.00 US and found it terrific, there is fruit, three types of cereal, coffee, pound cake, white and wheat toast, margarine, jelly and yogurt. Help yourself to as much as you would like. Free Wi-Fi is included with a great signal in the room or you can choose to sit in the patio surrounded by trees and plants with a faux well in the center, which I found very serene. The prices, when you use Hotels.com are very reasonable, a single queen bed room for $65.00 US, a two bed room for $75.00 US and a Junior suite, which I chose, for $100.00 US. The room comes with a large complimentary bottle of water, which as most of you know, is not that way most anywhere you travel. Enjoy your stay at this wonderful hotel in this wonderful city.

Best Western Del Mar is situated on the Yucatan Peninsula and is perfectly located on the ocean front (the Malecon), and steps away from this old Colonial city's Centro Historico. El Centro Historico is beautifully restored and very walkable, and large parts of the city's walls still remain. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the staff are excellent - always very helpful and cheery. The food is top quality, adding a mix of traditional Yucatecan food to other dishes that you might expect from a seaside location. We did lots of walking and exploring and enjoyed a thoroughly outstanding vacation - with gorgeous sunsets every night. At the risk of adding too many non-Mexican voices, I would highly recommend this hotel and its location.
