The Capri Hotel

This was a very reasonably priced, comfortable room in a good location. Only problem was that it wasn't ready until 2 hours after the posted check in time. Hotel staff were courteous and responsive on our second trip back to try to check in.

I recently stayed at the hotel. I was greeted by a friendly front desk person.I orginally requested a King Standard room. When I went into my room, it was a double Queen and it did not have a bathtub, only a handicap shower. I was not able to make a change of rooms since no other rooms were available at the time. Nevertheless, things turned out great because I was right by the pool (very convenient). Positives: 1.The continental breakfast was great! They had lots of fruit, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, great coffee, etc. Very good and free! 2.It's located off of the main road in Ojai and I could walk everywhere I wanted to. 3.The air conditioning was already on when I got into the room (thank goodness since it was very hot that day!) 4. 2 pools and a sort of jacuzzi (the jets are not working - but the water is hot) 5.Cool cabana tents in a back garden area (great for reading) 6. Staff is helpful for local restaurant info etc My only real complaint is that I happened to check under my bed to make sure that I did not drop anything under it. I quickly saw dust bunnies for days. The other Queen bed had as the same amount. I wish I had not seen that! Everything else was extrememly clean. I would go again!
