    I had very low expectations of this place since hotels closer to seaworld were twice as expensive. But the large rooms, marble floors, quiet country setting, and european style breakfast made me feel we were in a cross between an American bed and breakfast and an Italian pensione. We used this place as our home base for several days of seaworld fun and had two rooms. Both were very nice. The word "spa" may invoke thoughts of large American style resorts with tons of guest services; lower your expectations to something more realistic for this price range and you'll be pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms are clean and functional, plenty of water pressure and hot water; but not anything to write home about. We had the gorgeous pool to ourselves both days. The staff was Texas-friendly and the stay was pleasant and casual. I will certainly go back next time we are in San Antonio!
