Loved the Resort but was very disappointed with their restaurant...Fish Out Of Water............the meal was very expensive and though the steak was very good, it only came with a haystack of string potatoes that were difficult to eat.

Location. The WaterColor Inn & Resort - A Noble House Resort is located in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., between the Gulf of Mexico and Western Lake, a rare coastal dune lake. The resort is one-quarter mile from Grayton Beach State Park. The private Camp Creek Golf Club, located six miles away, offers access to guests of the resort.

Features. This 499-acre resort community features beach access and a BeachClub with a gulf-front outdoor pool, outdoor deck with lounge chairs, and poolside and beach food and beverage service. The poolside restaurant also offers dining inside and outside on an upstairs deck. The Fish Out of Water restaurant at the resort is located in a unique dune setting on the second floor of the WaterColor Inn. This casually chic restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Mexico serves fresh local seafood, prime beef and a large selection of international wines. The Town Center offers shops, dining options, and the Sugar Pies market and café. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served each morning at the inn. A tennis center features five soft-clay courts, with three courts lit for night play, and a pro shop. The property offers a full fitness center and spa. Meeting and event spaces offer gulf views and catering for gatherings up to 150 guests. Facilities include a boardroom, six breakout rooms and 4,000 square feet of comfortably arranged space that opens outdoors onto a well-groomed lawn of native Seashore Paspalum grass. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. Accommodations at this four-story resort feature balconies or patios with beach, dune or gulf views. Beds offer Egyptian cotton linens. All units are equipped with sofa beds, cable television, DVD players, iPod docking stations and CD players. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. The rooms include cherry minibars, coffeemakers, refrigerators and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms feature oversized walk-in showers with inset windows overlooking the beach.

Expert Tip. The BoatHouse on Western Lake offers kayak, canoe, sailboat and bicycle rentals. Fishing equipment rentals are also available. The staff provides maps and excursion information for hiking and biking trails throughout the woodlands of Western Lake's Marina Park. The BaitHouse restaurant, overlooking Western Lake, features deep porches, recalling fish camps found along the backwaters and bays of Northwest Florida.
