Hotel Dunloe Castle

Location. The Hotel Dunloe Castle is located in Beaufort, Ireland. The town of Killarney, home to the nearest train station, is six kilometres away and Muckross is 15 kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Set in 64 acres of mature parkland, including 20 acres of sub-tropical garden, the Hotel Dunloe Castle occupies a modern property that features a white façade and a forecourt with a fountain. The grounds also incorporate the ruins of the medieval Dunloe Castle. Facilities include an indoor pool and fitness room, and a sauna and steam room provide relaxation. Expert Tip. Ross Castle, 12 kilometres from the hotel, is set on the edge of Killarney National Park and is a typical example of an Irish chieftain stronghold. Built in the late 15th century, the castle was the seat of the O'Donaghue clan. Today, visitors are taken on guided tours of the restored tower and 17th- century dwelling house.
