Location. Wailea Elua Village-Destination Resort is located in Wailea. This condominium complex is adjacent to Ulua Beach and the Shops at Wailea. Makena, locally known as Big Beach, is less than three miles away.

Features. Wailea Elua Village is adjacent to a beach walk that fronts Ulua Beach. There, vacationers snorkel, swim, and sail in its waters. Beach chairs, towels, and a cooler are available for complimentary use. The property, which is made up of individually owned condos, also features two outdoor pools. One pool is beachside, while the other lies at the center of the complex. Maui's consistently sunny weather also can be savored at the property's paddle tennis court and putting green. Concierge services are available. Guest parking is complimentary.

Guestrooms. Clusters of two-story buildings house 152 condominium units, all of which are individually decorated. Layouts are that of typical condos. Bedrooms are separate from common sitting areas and fully equipped kitchens. Appliances include dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves. Furnished lanais feature gas barbecue grills. All units offer washers and dryers. High-speed Internet access is complimentary.

Expert Tip. Next door, the Shops at Wailea peddle blue-label goods from the likes of Fendi, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. But those who seek to take a home an authentic slice of Maui should make a trek to a farm stand, commonly seen along the side of busy roads. Most stands sell pineapples and sugarcane, two tasty symbols of Hawaii.

From February 1, 2007, to November 1, 2010, construction of the adjacent Baccarat Hotel and Condominium Project will continue.
