Description
See more detailsLocation. The Leopold Hotel is located in Sheffield, England, on the newly designed Leopold Square in the centre of the city centre's new retail district. It is within one mile of the city's theatres, galleries and gardens. There is also a supertram stop outside the hotel, and the station is one mile away.
Hotel Features. Sheffield's first boutique hotel, the Leopold offers modern facilities in a Grade II listed building, which began life as a boy's grammar school. The Victorian decor features old school photos and dark wood, accompanying contemporary design. The hotel is air-conditioned throughout, and there is wireless Internet, and an all-hours room service menu.
The Leopold Bar and Terrace serves breakfast, lunch and light fare throughout the day, with signature cocktails in the evening. The more intimate 1880 Restaurant has menus based on local and seasonal produce.
The Leopold offers secretarial and business services and four state-of-the-art conference suites, including the wood-panelled Oak Room.
There are preferential rates for spa treatments at nearby Spa 1877, and the nearest golf course is 3.5 miles away.
Guestrooms. The hotel's 90 air-conditioned guestrooms are individually designed combining dark woods and leather with classic lines. All are air-conditioned and equipped with interactive digital TV, Internet access with keyboards, MP3-player docking stations, minibars, and eco-friendly toiletries.
Expert Tip. Sheffield prides itself on being a green city, and its jewels include the beautifully restored Victorian Botanical Gardens and the Winter Garden. Entering the latter's stunning glasshouse in the centre of the city leads into the Millennium Galleries, housing both old masterpieces and contemporary innovations.
