Location. The Rye Lodge is a clifftop boutique hotel located in the centre of Rye, England. The hotel is 400 metres from Rye's historic quarter, three miles from Camber Sands beach, and 11 miles from the site of the Battle of Hastings. Rye train station is 200 metres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The Rye Lodge Hotel has Tudor influences, incorporating period features and furnishings including elaborate cornicing and open fireplaces. The hotel has its own health and fitness centre with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub.

Many water sports are available nearby and bird watchers and hikers are able to make the most of the estuary and Romney Marshes.

Guestrooms. All 18 guestrooms include satellite television, direct-dial phones and coffee and tea making facilities. Individually styled rooms feature elegant period design with coordinating fabrics.

Expert Tip. The historic Landgate, built in 1326, used to serve as the entrance to the town, and can be found around the corner from the Rye Lodge Hotel. In the ancient quarter of Rye, only 400 metres from the hotel, is the fifteenth century Mermaid Inn, the alleged haunt of smugglers.
