    The Marks Hotel is a great little boutique hotel situated in the center of all the action in Glasgow. Located on Bath at Hope street, it is within walking distance of everything. Sauchiehall street is a block up (where a lot of the bars/pubs and shops are) so a very short walk is all that keeps you from a delicious pint at any one of their numerous bars/pubs/clubs. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well designed with a modern, funky edge. Bathrooms are en suite, which for me is a huge plus. Beds were comfortable and the linens were high quality. A small flat screen tv was nice, and the free wifi in the room was a huge plus. I was on the 6th floor, room 622, so I didn't have a great view (I think my hotel room faced the back), but that didn't bother me. I think if you request a hotel room facing Bath street the view might be better, if that's important to you. The walls are kind of thin, as I could hear the t.v. in the room next door, but I never heard voices, so maybe the person just had it on really loud. It was during a reasonable hour too so it didn't bother me. At night it was super quiet too, so overall, I wouldn't be concerned about noise. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here the next time I come back to Glasgow.

    I chose this hotel based on its prime location to Sauchiehall and Buchannan street as well its proximity to Queens Street station. Everything I needed was within walking distance and only about 20 minutes from the airport. Will stay at the Marks again the next time I find myself in Glasgow.

Behind the museum is a park, which offers a children's playground and a small lake with ducks and swans.
